Some Reverse Interlinear Updates
I am pleased to announce that we are shipping major updates to two reverse interlinear Bibles:
- The NRSV Catholic Edition: In addition to the New Testament alignment released in December of last year, the NRSVCE now includes Old Testament Hebrew alignment (i.e. the entire Old Testament except for Tobit, Judith, 1 & 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch and the Greek-translated portions of Esther and Daniel).
- The LELXX: This now includes the alignment for the Pentateuch. Only Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1-4 Kingdoms and 1 & 2 Chronicles remain to be aligned.
Additionally, the NKJV has shipped with a couple necessary adjustments in the New Testament. And finally, a revised NLT with updated New Testament alignment will be released very shortly. Stay tuned!

Reverse interlinears seem to be quite popular, although I've hidden all of mine.
Those native English speakers who know Greek and Hebrew well, do they use reverse interlinears?
Gold package, and original language material and ancient text material, SIL and UBS books, discourse Hebrew OT and Greek NT. PC with Windows 11

So far as I know few people actually "use" the reverse interlinear itself. But many of the functions - interlinear displays and right click menus - are built off interlinear data so they are very important.

@Veli - I use the Reverse Interlinears a lot (not with multiple lines visible, however). I find being able to search for Greek and Hebrew in the English text a good solution for a lot of "quick" searches. As well, being able to hover over the English word and quickly see the Greek / Hebrew is convenient.
I wonder if what you actually hid are the "Interlinears", rather than the Reverse-Interlinears. I don't use the Interlinears as much, but do find them helpful at times to print out and take with me, and be able to read through original language texts with easy access to definitions of words I may not be familiar with... on the go.

I am a native English speaker, however, at this time, I do not know Greek and Hebrew well at all. Until I can read Greek and Hebrew fluently (a very long process), I find the interlinears very useful. Especially, since the awareness came to me that translations are not God breathed. [:)]
I imagine that once I can read Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek fluently, the interlinears will be much less useful directly.

I can't imagine using Logos without reverse interlinears - whether I have them visible or not, they're are the heart of most things that I do.

The "LELXX" is internal-speak for the Lexham English Septuagint (https://www.logos.com/product/28565/the-lexham-english-septuagint). With Logos 6, we introduced a reverse interlinear (https://www.logos.com/product/45622/the-english-greek-reverse-interlinear-lexham-english-septuagint), which is still in progress and is updated as portions are available (the Pentateuch the most recent update, some historical books remain to be aligned).

If they do, most of them who are regulars on the forums wouldn't dare admit it because they'd be subject to harassment by George Somsel, who thinks all interlinears are anathema and usually doesn't miss an opportunity to remind us of that. I'm surprised he hasn't posted on this thread yet. [:)]

Or vice versa - e.g. when someone thinks they hid their RI in Logos (which you can't do since they don't show in the library).
Your question above sounded a bit ambiguous to me, too, since the question of literacy in the Original Languages normally effects forward interlinears that go from the Greek/Hebrew manuscript to a translation. Check out the L6 interactive resource on that. This is the kind of interlinear some people object against on the reasoning that it makes sloppy undereducated Greek students think they have understood the text when in fact they haven't. Interlinears try to help answering "how would I translate that old text"?
Reverse interlinears have nothing to do with the ability to read Greek or Hebrew, they rather allow to dig deeper into the text coming from an existing translation such as NIV. They try to answer questions in the realm of "what about the original text that was translated here"?

Ok, now I understand, I found I that I had hidden anything that says "high definition" in the title thinking they are the reverse interlinears.
I use the NET Bible as my English Bible so I never came across the reverse interlinear feature, not even accidentally.
I use the discourse Bibles (Hebrew and Greek) as my interlinear Bibles (and also sometimes the Andersen-Forbes phrase-marker-analysis as my Hebrew interlinear: the text proceeds from top to down both in Hebrew and English, solving the directionality problem) .

Thankful for reverse interlinear tagging so can "see" Greek verbal range of expression using visual filters in English, Greek, and Spanish.

In the NRSVCE, I am not seeing any reverse interlinear material for Gen 1. But it does seem to be present other places I look.

I'm running Logos 5, is there a reason why I can't see the LEB reverse interlinear for the Hebrew Bible? The reverse interlinear for the Greek NT works fine...

Well, I've been considering upgrading to new base packages lately, and this is what I see on the upgrade page:Have you purchased a package containing the LEB Hebrew Reverse Interlinear?
The base package I purchased was original languages for Logos 4. I heard that I could install Logos 5, only that the new datasets wouldn't be there, which I honestly consider very generous of faithlife giving us the new interface! I'm just trying to figure out why the website says I own the reverse interlinear and it doesn't appear in my install. When I installed Logos 5, I used method three from this page so I wouldn't have to redownload all the resources: https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers
I'm wondering if reinstalling would change anything...
