I have created custom guides named: ‘My Passage Guide’, ‘My Exegetical Guide’, and
‘My Bible Word’. They are on the left side. In the resource section at the top
are my bibles. In the bottom section are my usual commentaries and lexicons.
For each of these, I have them prioritized in the library section based on
their type. I have a saved layout named to use all this as a starting point of
study. The resources are all linked together either with link A or link B.
Scenario #1: If I enter a verse in Home, ‘My Passage
Guide’ and ‘My Exegetical Guide’ opens to the verse. The “My Bible Word” guide
does not appear (no big deal). The resource section, however, reverts to what
appears to be a default. In the top section, my top 5 bibles appear. I don’t
normal use the 5th one, but have replaced it with a cross-reference
index in my custom layout. In the bottom section, only the first of my
preferred commentaries is listed. All other tabs in my custom layout are
missing. The ‘Text Comparison’ section matches the bible section. The verse I
entered is set in each section.
Question #1: Is there a way to start from the Home page
so that when a verse is entered, the custom layout fully loads with all my
expected resources?
Scenario #2: Starting at my custom layout, I enter a
verse under ‘My Passage Guide’ and that is the only area where the data
appears. ‘My Exegetical Guide’ and both sections in the resource area remain at
a previous verse. As it works now, I’d have to key the verse 2 other times –
one for the exegetical guide and the other for resources.
Question #2: Is there a way of linking the passage
and exegetical guides and the resource section together so that they work like
they do from the Home and retaining my custom layout?
A resolution to either question would be great.
