problems after the install of the latest update
When I did try to access my reading plan this morning after the installed latest update, instead of giving the reading plan reading it went to the passage guide and the whole program went into a responding, not responding sequence for quite a few minutes. Has anyone else had this kind of problem after installing the last update to the program and data sets?

This is a known issue but only happens if you don't have any resources open in the reading panel when you click on the reading plan - https://community.logos.com/forums/t/99575.aspx

It seems from reading the posts that it has been a noted issue in the beta testing, why has it then slipped through in the update? It is very annoying to say the least when wanting to go to the devotional reading to have this happen and bibles open not in the required translation.. Is this going to be fixed soon?

In general, the fact that an issue is called out during beta testing doesn't necessarily mean it is going to be fixed before the release ships

I hadn't noticed the translation issue before - that makes it rather more of an issue[:(]

I have an NA28 RP and have noticed since 6.1 that it always opens to the NIV2011 (my preferred Bible) and a Passage Guide instead of the NA28. If I return to the Home page and click on the reading again, it opens to the NA28. It is irritating, but I can live with it so long as it's going to be fixed in the near term. I had though tI must have clicked incorrectly, but am glad to see it's not just me!

I'm having a similar problem as Gertrude. Mine simply goes to the passage guide and does not provide my translation of choice. This was not a problem for me before the last update/using my reading plan on my iOS device.

is this an L6 (Mac or Pc) issue or a mobile one (iOS)? If the latter, please create a new thread in the iOS forum.

I'll add my +1 to this. I have an LEB Reading Plan, but when I click on Today's Reading it opens up a Passage Guide with the ESV (preferred bible). However, a work-around I've found is to click the title of the reading plan, then click on today. Then it opens correctly. Please fix!

Thanks for the tip Gregory, that helps, but Logos please fix this bug asap!!

You're welcome, and even after installing 6.1 SR-1 it's still necessary as a work-a-round. They fixed it so that when you click on a reading ti does open in the bible you selected. However, for some inexplicable reason, it opens a Passage Guide, not the Reading Plan. Back to the woodshed Logos coders!

I had noticed that this morning after the install of the new update and have commented on this. It should have been fixed as this was already a noted point In the beta testing. Hope it will be fixed asap.

In 5.2b the behavior was inconsistent between Mac and PC. Mac Showed the layout that Windows users are seeing in 6.1 SR1. PC showed only the Bible and the reading plan. In 6.0 the behavior was changed accidentally so that only the Bible was opened.
Showing the reading plan layout was an intentional change in 6.1 to match the behavior we had originally on both Mac and PC (https://community.logos.com/forums/t/44738.aspx).
We are having conversations internally about what panels (if any) should be opened along with the Bible. This may change in the future and we value feedback on the issue.0 -

+1 Just the resource only nothing else if a user wants other panels open they can use a layout hand have th panels they want open instead of ones that someone decides for them should be open.

if a user wants other panels open they can use a layout
That's an interesting comment and reminds me of something.....
Actually I would very much like the ability to open to a layout of my choosing when I click on a reading plan. So I could, for example, open a Bible to the correct place and an associated notes document or a linked commentary.

Morning Graham
I too.
For now I have a layout with a reading plan in it (actually two reading plans) with which I almost start my day.

I agree this the logical and most useful extension of this approach.

+1 Ideal solution: default to resource only, but give user the option for another layout. Excellent ideas!
