[resolved] Bug: 6.3 B2 Mac: Reference box doesn't respond

Member Posts: 767 ✭✭

See the video below, sometimes when clicking in a resource reference box the cursor stops blinking and keyboard input isn't registered and it seems that it has frozen, then after clicking away the keyboard entry then registers:

I'm not able to reproduce this on my machine, but something is definitely odd. Could you post logs? I'm not sure if they would capture anything, but I'd like to check. I'm not sure if the delay is long enough to capture a sample, but it'd be worth a try. Click "Sample" in the logging utility, or "Sample process" from the gear icon in Activity Monitor.

No worries, I reproduced the issue after the last entry in the log file (i.e. it did not log anything when I reproduced the issue). I've also included a sample.

Thank you for uploading your logs. Looking at the sample, it appears that the NSTextField/NSTextView controls from Apple did not recognize the mouse up so they are waiting for that event to occur. Does clicking twice in the text field allow you to edit the text normally?

This should be fixed in 6.3 beta 5.
