Intel Core M-5Y71 and Logos 6 (Tablet PC) ?
Does anyone have any experience with a Windows tablet with an Intel Core M-5Y71 (eg Toshiba Portege Z20T-B-10C or Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2)? Runs logos 6 so well?

The consensus is that Logos needs a more potent processor like the i Series processors.
Think in these terms i7(5,3) CPU, 8GB + RAM, and at least a 128GB SSD. A good graphics processor is also helpful.

Intel Core M-5Y71 (6,9) has "Average CPU Mark: 2919" (Top 10).
Toshiba Portege Z20T-B-10C or Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 has 8GB RAM and SSD.

The CPU of the new MacBook (Intel Core-M 5Y31, up to 2,4GHz, CPU benchmark is 2186) is weaker than 5Y71 (up to 2,9GHz, CPU benchmark is 2919).
EDIT: I have seen that the new MacBook is also configurable with the stronger CPU (like 5Y71, CPU benchmark is 2816): "Configurable to 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor (Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz) with 4MB shared L3 cache."

I've been nosing around the tablet PCs and it's really hard to find something credible that doesn't have a high sticker price. On the other hand, you can have a really nice laptop PC for much less and get a really good tablet and still be pocketing some change.

I'm presently using Logos 6 on a Macbook base configuration (with a Core M) processor. It's not noticeably any slower than it is on my i7 Mac mini.
The Macbook has 8 Gb of RAM and really fast SSD for data so that probably helps a great deal, and maybe I'm not pushing the program very hard, but no matter - for me Logos is really quite useable.

One of the problems with Logos 6 on a tablet PC is the amount of "disk" a large library needs.
The main issue is that you can't install "everything" on your main home PC, and then only a subset (e.g. all those in your collection named "Tablet") on the small one. If only ...
Anyway, for your library you need the storage and room for the index and a little extra when it rebuilds/merges the index.
My Logos subfolder is over 40 GB right now, but to be fair to the product, I do have one of the larger packages. Do consider this aspect, depending on your needs and library.
If you go to https://www.logos.com/basepackages it shows (for the few I checked) that the system requirements call for 30 GB free. Check the one(s) you own or plan to want during the expected life of the tablet.
I see others have already given feedback on the sort of power CPU required. I have little to offer except a few years ago I installed the then Logos product to one of the small netbooks, with I think 1 GB ram. It installed and worked, but it was painful slow to index, but kind of worked OK once ready.
Depending on your needs, the new browser-based "Logos Now" online version might be the answer for small devices. Of course it requires network connections. Please check out if that might be a useful direction for you. I have no axe to grind so not sure about its merits or not yet.
(For portable, I use an iPad and it seems to suit me well enough. Mine has the 3G option, so I can be online for searches etc. I've not tried "Logos Now" and the browser version on it yet, so unsure how that looks.)

Thanks for the report, Nicholas. I have to admit that It almost seems to good to be true in comparing with an i7 Mac Mini.
Maybe you could give us some additional detail on the way you use Logos that leads you to a nearly imperceptible performance difference.

I would rather bring me a buisness-Tablet with 256GB or 512GB (Windows or maybe I Pad Pro). That should be enough. But I have not decided yet. I would first wait for Windows 10, if everything goes well below and you can use Android and iOS apps ...
