Screenshot help for new L4 install

Howdy!

I think I installed L4 Scholars last night but I am not sure. I stayed awake while my resources were downloading but when it went into preparing library I felt that everything was going smooth enough for me to go to bed.

When I woke up this morning L4 was on my monitor, however, there was really nothing there except the three icons in the upper left corner (home, library, search) and then four blank boxes to the right of it. Everything else was just one big white screen.

So I guess my question would be is this what the screen is suppose to look like at first until I make some more adjustments?

Did I install everything right?? I checked everything I could think of on the forums before I posted this question (after all, who wants to be "that guy"?) but to no avail. Are there some screenshots somewhere of what the L4/A9 should look like? I saw plenty of windows pics but couldn't find the Mac (Yes, I know it's dual platform but b/c of the alpha status I'm thinking that there would be some differences at this point).

Anywho, any help you fine peeps can offer me would be appreciated!

Thanks! I finally found a thread that explained the homepage being blank as normal, however, when I see the screen shots from the link that you posted his screen looks a lot different than mine.

Any ideas on how I'd go about "building" my home page screen or is this something I'll just have to manually do every time I open Logos?

Dustin,

Whatever you have open when you close Logos, will be what it opens to...a good and a bad thing.

Good = you can just shut down...like book marking a book

Bad = what if you were in the middle of a HUGE search?

Be sure to UNcheck the box (at the lower right on the blank homepage screen) "show homepage at startup.

I understand that this is the alpha version but I guess what I'm trying to do at this point is ensure that I've got everything up and running correctly in its current alpha state. I think after reading some of the threads here I might have gotten a little over excited thinking that either my library didn't sync correctly or I might need to start over and re-install from the beginning. I guess what I am looking for is an answer to how do I know if everything went right? I know that's a kinda loaded question with an alpha release....

Is there any kind of list out there that states everything that is up and running and how it's suppose to look?

Yes, the link Jack mentioned twice has the list of what is working and what is yet to be developed. It is also linked at the bottom of my signature as well.

When new alpha comes out, I tend to post screenshots of new features, so you can find some old threads here where I post what is working and new ones when a10 comes out.

From what you describe above, you are running perfectly normal for a9.

I'll spend a lot of time playing with it this weekend. Just felt as though every time I tried to do something I would get this This is not yet developed message. Good to know that it sounds as if I'm on the right track!
