Logos 6.3 Service Release 1 (6.3.0.0056) now available

Logos 6.3 SR-1 (6.3.0.0056) is available for download.

If you have automatic updates turned on, 6.3 SR-1 will be downloaded automatically the next time your system checks for updates. To install it right away, enter the Update Now command.

I have tried the "Update Now" I see and indicator which reads "Checking for updates..." Then no update found. I have tried changing to beta channel and default - Same results. Any ideas? Thanks Steve

Beta channel will NOT give you a service release... since it is a "stable" build. Have you tried restarting the app and/or your computer?

I tried as suggested to no avail. Then I deleted toe app re-downloaded from link on page: https://www.logos.com/product/46767/logos-6-core-engine#requirements and now version is 6.3 SR-1.

It was a bit balky getting going (a couple of restarts and a force quit) but it seems to be fine now.

If I understand the posts, I see the same thing. I do "Update Now", it searches, and then it just ends with no notification (you might see a downloading updates notification bar, in one case I did, in another case I did not). I just know now when it ends to restart and the update is there. But it really should give a message saying an update will be installed the next time you restart. It seems consistently unclear to me.

If you've switched to the beta channel you'll want to switch back to default to get the SR. It should check for an update within a few seconds. The UI should have a blue circle in the top right (near the sync indicator) as things are progressing. The status should indicate when it's downloading and when it's installed (there currently isn't a status for "installing" but we are looking at adding one.

If you've restarted the app you should see "Installed 6.3 SR-1" on the home page.

The blue circle notification should stay up until you restart the application for the first time. If you're not seeing the blue circle at all it may indicate that there is a bug we need to investigate. Logs may be helpful in this case.

Just curious for Mac users, do you all know what the small black arrow is for on the icon? Its on the lower left corner of the app icon on the dock. Just curious what that is supposed to mean.

It means that the icon is an "alias"... it is annoying.

Do I have to delete any file, now - at least the Dock icon?

Good! [:)] Yes, you'll want to replace the Dock icon, as it apparently got tied to the specific (old) version. Dragging the icon from the App folder to the Dock with Logos not running should get the Dock working correctly from here on.

There will be some changes going into 6.4 that should improve this in the future.

The aliased icon is expected. There were changes in the way application updates are handled that required the use of the alias in 6.3. There may be changes for that coming in 6.4, but the alias is correct for now.
