Anyone have any idea what to expect?
Charlene, Winners will be notified and prizes delivered on June 1. This information is located in the "Official Rules" section of the Treasure Hunt landing page (section 6). Kristen

Yet 'on June 15' is what is stated in section four at the top.
Section six at the bottom does state 'after June 1'. Which should we expect?
I just want to publicly thank Faithlife/Logos for having this treasure hunt. It was fun and exciting. A different type of contest is good for a nice change of pace.
I agree. It was fun.

Mark,
It seems there are conflicting dates in our rules on when the contest will end and when the prizes will be distributed. The treasure hunt will end on June 15. At that time (specifically after 12 p.m. UTC on June 15) we will distribute the prizes to the base package winners and to those who submitted the right answer. We will update the rules page to reflect the correct date ASAP.
Will we get a response that our answer submission has been received?

David,
You will find out June 15 if you submitted the right answer when you are awarded your prize.
If you have a specific concern with whether or not we received your email submission, you can email us at treasurehunt@logos.com and someone will confirm for you that way.
I signed up on 5/19, but never received an email from Logos. Should I have...?
You may want to send a note to the e-mail address Leah mentions above.
So I invited my partner to play this game and she's a casual Logos user. She used her mobile and had the same problem of clicking on the button and it not working correctly from the email that was sent to her. It was frustrating for her....Just wanted to let you know.
Cheers, ChelseaFC
I got one email and that was it....
same - I got the email with the second clue. I submitted my guess at the answer and .... silence . hope that it is functioning as expected.
There is only one clue delivered in an email, the rest of the clues are found on the website.
The email should deliver you a link that gives you your second clue. From that link you can also click to find the third clue. You'll need five clues in all to complete the treasure hunt.
You will find out June 15 (or shortly after) if you submitted the right answer when you are awarded your prize.
it did not send me a link to the third clue. I do not think my email worked properly
Robert, since it sounds like you are having some specific trouble, I'll email you directly to help you get it sorted out.
Yes, a very cool idea.
I am curious, though, did the treasure hunt start on the website on May 18? I only received my email stating that there was a treasure hunt, today.
Did anyone get confirmation emails back once they sent the answer to Logos? I didn't and wanted to make sure I wasn't unique.
I did not.
Due to the high volume of email responses we receive, we are not sending confirmation emails to each answers that's submitted. The prizes will be delivered by email on (or shortly after) June 16 to those who participated. If you have a specific concern with whether or not we received your answer, you can email us at treasurehunt@logos.com and ask for confirmation.
Thanks
What was your conclusion on this? I got the same deal - download link for Sproul series that I already own...
I do not have Facebook account so it was a bit of a dead-end for me.
Blessings,
joshua
You don't actually need a FB account for this unless something's changed since the start of the contest.
Sort of disappointed with the mystery prize. 15% off a base package seems more like a way to get me to spend more money instead of a prize. At least they could have given me a $1 book, since it's quite evident by now that I'm not going to upgrade the base package I already own.
Yeah, that was kind of a huge disappointment. I didn't expect much, but 15% off a base package (when I'm already pretty deeply invested in the base package world) makes it look similar to saving $500 on a brand new Boeing 787.
Sort of disappointed with the mystery prize.
I was also a bit disappointed.
Doesn't seem to work on upgrades if you already have an L6 base package as well. Ahh well. I don't really need to spend more money on books right now any way.
I was also hoping for something like a cp free book.
Yes bit disappointed too - especially as you can often get a similar discount anyway without the treasure hunt by contacting a Logos sales person direct.
The code did work for me when I experimented with it for an upgrade to my existing Logos 6 package though.
I too think this is a fail on logos part. I seriously wonder how many did the Treasure hunt who didn't already have a base package. I put this whole experience in the "never again" file.
A very good idea with a very disappointing ending.
yea ... a little underwhelming. Got a top base package already. 5-10% off of one item with no restrictions would have been great.
Oh well. It was fun.
I got the email with the prize despite never actually submitting an entry... and my academic and/or dynamic pricing discount is already bigger than the prize, so the prize had no effect on my pricing.
The treasure hunt was a huge disappointment. I mean does Faithlife really think that someone like me, who has the diamond package, is going to want to shell out another 1k for the portfolio? This was embarrassing on their part and I hope for the sake of God they never insult their customers like that again.
My prize? I already own....
I was extremely disappointed. I don't really consider coupons to be a prize at all, to be honest. I worked at a place once where we had to give out some coupons as a prize. I felt horrible...
Got the email, but cant get the code to work! It rejects the very first letter M [^o)]
If you keep typing the code, the website accepts it when the last character in the code is typed.
Hi Ken, The coupon code is set up to work on upgrades even if you already have a Logos 6 base package. The code is attached to the email address you used to sign up to the Treasure Hunt email list, and you must be signed in with that email address for the code to work.
I hope that helps!
The prize is a bit strange and out of the ordinary. The prize is generally a free resource of some kind.
Anyway, one thing that I noticed is that the code will work on all of the base packages (not just the standard), and I don't see an expiration date for the code.
Thanks Faithlife, I will use the code at some point in the future if it doesn't have an expiration date.
Erwin,
You are correct, the 15% off coupon code will work on any base package, including any of our denominational track base packages.
The code you have received will expire July 15th, 2015 at midnight (PT). We hope you find an opportunity to use it before then. Thanks again for participating in the Treasure Hunt.

Thumbs up on the 1st point, thumbs down on the 2nd. [:)]
Unfortunately, 7/15/2015 may be much too soon in order for me (and probably a lot of people) to be able to use it. The Treasure Hunt was fun and interesting anyway.
Thanks Leah
ANY base package unless you are on academic discount. In which case this was an exercise in futility. I won the ability to have a code that I can't use :P Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

"I seriously wonder how many did the Treasure hunt who didn't already have a base package."
I don't own a package, but participated. Unlikely to buy one for a variety of reasons, though I've been a user since 2003 and own a lot of books. I *am* experimenting with Logos Cloud...
Like I had said, this exercise was a failure.

I'm thinking that not many, and those that don't have a base package of any level, probably has already considered one and chose (as you did) not to buy one. The treasure hunt was probably a marketing thing to spark the interest of those new to Logos, or those who are not heavily involved in using Logos.
I wonder who won the Silver or Gold package, and if it actually will be beneficial to them. Of course, the benefit would be dependent on if they already have a base package above what is given away. If the winnings are transferable, that wouldn't matter much, as they can give the package to someone whom it would really help in their studies.
Faithlife! This would be a great opportunity to win the confidence and hearts of a lot of current customers who have shelled out a LOT of money with you. If much lesser companies do it based on the basis of a disgruntled review on Yelp or Twitter, certainly you can do it for the faithful folks who are already customers for life...you want us coming back to upgrade and a lot of us spent a lot of time figuring this deal out, so we could score a few free books! I guarantee that if most of us had the ability to throw down for a new upgrade, we wouldn't have entered the contest in the first place...
Grab the opportunity! I'd be the first to share about how awesome you guys are...
First off, thank you to everyone who participated in the Treasure Hunt! We appreciated your patience as we worked through the kinks that come with trying something brand new. I apologize to those of you who feel your participation wasn’t beneficial. The Treasure Hunt was an opportunity for us to try something fun that we’ve never done before, and we felt like it would be a neat way for us to engage with those who are unfamiliar with Logos (while still being fun for those who are).
We realized that a lot of our engaged Logos users may already have the free gifts and the prizes from the Treasure Hunt, but we still wanted to reward them for participating with a prize they could use--15% off any upgrade.
The Treasure Hunt is just one of many sales, discounts, and giveaways we have planned for this year. Some of these promotions may be better suited for certain audiences than others. In this instance, we hope the Treasure Hunt was an exciting way for people new to Logos to become familiar with who we are and the products we offer.
Thanks again for your participation and feedback!
Great concept - pretty sorry "prize." Congratulations: you get the opportunity to spend money? I'll try this with my kids to see how it goes: merry christmas son, i'll let you buy yourself an xbox and even throw in a $5 gift card. I can already see his heart melting with my abundant generosity. You guys make a very solid product, but please listen to your customers.
Free gifts? Did I miss out on something?
I thought that there was on only 1 (the mystery prize) at the end of the event, and 1 prize for being the 1st to come up with the answer to the puzzle.

I don't understand this either.
