BUG: Copy Verse

I am running OSX 10.9.5, Logos 6.3.0074. In the Logos preferences I have the default resource font set to Times New Roman, and the default Notes font set to Gentium. However when I use the copy Bible Verse function (regardless of how I get there) and paste the verse(s) into notes the text is ALWAYS Hevetica 9. I have looked over the wiki entry on editing the copy bible verse templates but there is no setting for a default paste font, so I have no idea where Helvetica 9 is coming from.

I can only assume that this is a bug somewhere that neglects the default font.

Tim have you tried restarting the software? Maybe a restart on the computer may help the problem.

I use the defaults and Copy Bible Verses pastes in with that font.

The only idea I have is to be sure Gentium is properly installed on your computer. I would assume it is, but if not Logos would have to substitute something else.

Does your CBV style use the Word defaults? That the one deliberate change in fonts that comes to mind.

I have had this issue since at least L5 and maybe even as far back as L4. It certainly isn't new by any means. I have just come to the point that I am frustrated enough that I come to the forums. I held off earlier because there were more pressing bugs that have now been resolved. But I digress.

This problem also exists on my other Mac with L6 installed, so I don't think it is a machine specific problem with my fonts. This problem does NOT happen when I just do a CMD+C on a verse and then CMD+V to paste it into notes, without all the auto-formatting in the copy bible verse function.

Having said that, Looking in font book, I don't see Gentium there, but I don't know enough about Fonts on a mac to know where font book looks and where logos stores its fonts. Obviously I have it somewhere since I can change the font from helvetica to Gentium by clicking on Default. I just hate doing that for every verse I ever copy and paste into a note.

At the moment I am using a custom set up. Now, if I look at the CBV window, it sys "to Microsoft Word" but the problem persists whether I choose "Pages" or "TextEdit" etc.

Here are the command functions in this CBV format

%NoCharFormatting
%NoRedLetter
%NoFootnotes
%NoCitation

=Header
[FullPassageRef] ([Version]) —

=ForEachVerse
[VerseNum] [VerseText]

=Footer

But again, looking on the Wiki, there is no CBV function for setting or adjusting font.

That is correct. I am sure Faithlife assumes we will want to use the font in the target document so there would be no need to set it in CBV.

Your comment that you can find Gentium on the fonts drop-down in Notes and apply it indicates you have it installed.

I find the situation curious. I would like to know if any other Mac users can replicate this behavior.

The copy Bible verses feature in Logos 6 appears to revert to the default font used in whichever version of OS X you're currently running. Mine always defaults to Helvetica 12 (in Word 2011 and Pages) which is what's being used by Yosemite. There supposedly will be a different default font used by "El Capitan" but I haven't heard what it will be. I have tried everything to get the copy Bible verses to use the same font that I use in my written sermons (Arial 14) but so far I have not been successful. An annoyance for sure but I've gotten used to changing the fonts to match the rest of my sermon.

Use "Paste and Match Formatting" command from the Edit menu in MS Word 2011 Mac. The default keystroke command is shown in this screenshot (Opt-Shift-Cmd-V).
