Any Thompson Chain Reference Users/Fans?

I did a search and could not find it or any plans for it on logos site, but have I missed it??
I am considering doing a PB of
1908 Thompson Chain Reference Bible
Assuming Logos don't do a more up to date one - would there be any interest in having it, given that I understand it has had 4 revision since 1908, before I spend weeks/months on converting it and verifying it against my pdf copy,?
I would be looking at doing it a commentary, so links show next to verses, with dictionary part appended at end..

I am a big fan. It is a wonderful study bible.
Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

I have a dead tree version that my mother gave me when I was a teen. It was the cat's meow back then. Over time it has become a very cherished paperweight. There are much better resources available now. (NTSK etc.) I can't imagine using The Thompson reference, even if I could buy it cheap in Logos.

The diagrams and drawings are great. I would like to see this available in Logos.

Well, I was a Thompson fan when I was in High School. But that was about 45 years ago.
Thank God for it. The Bible was a blessing to me in my early Christian walk, though I now think an inductive approach to Bible study is a bit more sound.
Of course, if you like topical chain links, it would be tough to beat.

I have often thought that a PB of the TCR Bible would be a great addition to Logos. I have it in another Bible Software Program AND I still use my TCR (paper edition) in church camp for quick references as I teach. "If you build it, they will com..." [:P]

I preached my first sermon at the age of 17 and my pastor gave me a Thompson Chain Reference Bible as a gift. I used it for many years and was blessed to study from it. However, with the tools that are available in Logos, I haven't used my Thompson Chain Reference Bible in many years. When I need to look at topics I start with Naves or Macarthur. The search functionality and language resources in Logos are my "chain reference" now. That being said, if it did come out in Logos, I would likely buy it for nostalgia's sake if nothing else!

Thompson is a great favorite of mine, but I don't use it very much anymore. I've got more than one copy since I acquired them cheaply and I'm a pushover when I see a nice leather Bible especially a leather study Bible.
I'd be happy to have this in Logos and it's really a shame that they don't.

Long ago I graduated from Scofield to Thompson Chain Reference and after that Dake's and then the Open Bible. Then there was the Serendipity Bible. Each good in its own way. I cut different teeth on each. Would like to have them all.

If you can find one, Ephesians Four (E4) CD put out a Thompson Chain Reference Bible when they were still using Logos 2.0. Now they use Quick Verse.

I also have it in another product and would love to have it in Logos.

It is the whole thing:
Thompson Chain Topics
Topical Index
Special Bible Readings (Thompson #4130)
Toppical Studies by Book
OT Topical Studies
NT Toopical Studies0 -
I also got this resource for free from E4 few years ago. It is real sorry that E4 no longer supply Logos Resources.

I have it in Accordance Which includes not only the TCR in it's latest edition but also the TCR companion volume. It's not something I use very often, indeed i was having trouble locating it since it is listed not under Cross References or Study Bible but the Biblical Studies submenu. I have always liked it's archaeological supplement section. but in general the NIV Thematic Study Bible better done. (Which has been rereleased as Dictionary of Bible Themes, although dictionary version in my mind is not as handy as the study Bible edition, but both contain the same numbering references ).

In the early or mid-80s, right about when the full NIV became available, I bought a TCR NIV. I absolutely loved that Bible, and absolutely wore it out (cover fell off, etc.). I had to retire it.
Anecdote: Before I retired it, in the mid-90s, while living in the St. Louis area, it disappeared in church. It was gone for two years. I was heartbroken. (Entire NT and good bit of the OT were colored, marked, etc.) Then, strangely enough, it showed up on a coat rack at the back of the church, a little more worn, but intact. I guess whoever 'borrowed' it must have read enough that it had an effect on them.
It now sits safely on a shelf at home, having been replaced by a couple different ESV bibles that don't need packing tape to hold on the covers.
I'd love to have access to the TCR part again if for no other reason than nostalgia. My theology has shifted greatly since I was young, so it would be fascinating to see how I now read some of the chain references compared to how I did then.

NB: Dominic, you should consider crowd-sourcing it. That is a HUGE project. Find a couple users you trust and ask them to work on parts. Make sure they have macros for the markup tasks.
So the short answer is, YES, I'd be interested in it.

Thanks for this Dan. I had it too, but never investigated it. A real treasure.[8-|]

This thread started last year and FL hasn't said anything. I went ahead and got a Thompson chain reference bundle from WS. That way I can copy and past the info. 👌

The Logos Spanish Department offers the "notes": https://www.logos.com/product/55132/notas-de-la-biblia-de-referencia-thompson
But it's been on pre-pub limbo for quite some time already. So WS is the best and cheaper option for now. $24 bucks plus an additional 30% off gets you a bunch of resources plus the Thompson Chain Reference collection - very awesome and useful - not in Logos format nonetheless, but better than nothing:

How do you do this? You just copy all files from the CDs into the resource directory of Logos 7? It is a pity that Logos does not download these older resources automatically.

I would buy the Thompson Chain Reference Bible in Logos. I used it in print early on in my ministry and have it on my shelves. Used it until I purchased Logos in 2008.
