Why would my blog comments disapear after they were approved?

I posted two comments on this thread about the pre-pubs concerning how one might go ahead adding resources to L4 if download was not an option (as it wasn't on the Tyndale Comms) and L3 was not installed. The comment appeared as a comment and then when I checked back the next day it was gone.

I have to admit I am a little miffed. It wasn't in any way negative so I am left wondering why it was removed and feeling like I need closure *sniff sniff* Wink

Oh. by the way, can anyone tell me how one installs resources onto a computer that doesn't have L4?

Mark, my guess is that you made an error when posting. Obviously you have been posting for a while, so maybe it was some kind of forum glitch? I say that for a couple reasons. Logos does not moderate these forums much, if ever. If they ever do delete a post, experience shows that they will contact the person whose post was deleted... at least that is what I have observed in the 1 post out of 20,000 + posts tha have been made on the forum.

Are you happier "downloading" or do you not mind re-installing from CD-Roms.? If you have HD room, and you have the DVD, I would install Libronix 3 first and then synchronize its licenses.. It might save some down-loading, especially if Download speed is an issue. On the other hand, if you only have individual CD's, that will take longer. Do you have your up-to-date license for Libronix 3? That would also make the progress faster as your software would know which files to "un-lock."

If you have the L4 DVD it might save more "downloads" by turning off "internet" etc after the program loads. Then you can try both scanning the path to the L4 DVD and a "scan" of the L3 resources. There should be some more detailed instructions on the Wiki No matter how you do it there will be downloads. The original L4 DVD has been super-ceded by a couple of newer program versions and a number of re-built book files.

Perhaps even scanning the path to the L4 DVD might save download time?

Mark, I'm also assuming that you've been on these Forums long enough to know that the Wiki link is at the top of this page, and that the entire "path" to your resources must be entered into the Scan command?

Yep, I'll echo Joe. This forum software is pretty buggy. I just tried clicking on the 188 (number of posts) below your name to see if I could find that disappeared post and got to this page which says "Sorry, we were unable to find any results using your search terms. Please change your search terms and try again."

Not to start a black helicopter conspiracy panic BUT:

The "How to hijack a thread" thread has now been locked. (EDIT: locked for some posters)
Another thread was recently deleted. (That's a good thing.)
Several posters have advocated violating "intellectual property rights" (copyright law-breaking)
Many posts keep showing up diverting potential sales to off-site sellers.
With 11,000+ posts it is hard to find some things, resulting in duplicate postings.
Theological debate will not cease this side of the Millenial reign. (Wanna debate that? [;)])

Remember, policies can be changed. There is probably nothing better to Dan the Man than to be able to say to brother BobP, "I told you so."

If the forum Leviathan (another theological debate thread) gets unruly could we see a policy change?
