Can't Start Logos 6

I've had Logos for a few years now.

Last Christmas I upgraded to Logos 6.

For some reason, I have not been able to start it during the last two weeks. I can't figure out why. I do notice that on my desktop, there is an icon that says Logos4. That's weird.

Is it possible I trashed the desktop icon by mistake? I did look in my Finder and LaunchPad for Logos6 and I cannot see it anywhere. There is a generic Logos icon in my LaunchPad, as well as at the bottom of my screen. When I click on it, it bounces once or twice, but then nothing happens.

I work on a MacBook pro.

This is happening to me too. Can't tell you what point release of Logos 6 I was using, but OS X Capitan, the public release.

I'm running the latest public beta of Logos and Cap on my iMac, and no problems there.

I noticed yesterday, though, that trying to search for "we sections" caused repeated crashing on the macbook Air.

Try trashing Logos and re-downloading from this link.

Dave's advice will probably solve your problems.

Actually even 'Trashing' Logos is unnecessary. It won't do any harm though as long as you limit yourself to moving the engine to the Trash can and don't interfere with any of the Logos files in the Library.

The upgrade to the latest version of Logos should solve your problems.

If you don't bother with the 'Trashing' process downloading and installing from Dave's link will overwrite the existing installation.

I was searching for the sections in Acts where the pronoun switches to "we" implying Luke or the author was there with Paul. It's often called the "we sections" and I was typing the phrase both into the control bar and search panel. Both caused crashes. I'll post logs when I get back to my laptop.

I think your problem may be completely unrelated to the one reported by Florentine.

If you do post logs you might consider starting a new thread.
