Payment plan & Paypal
Is it possible to set up a payment plan and use paypal to pay for it?

I am pretty certain that Logos does not accept Paypal payments at this time.

You can get a free paypal mastercard debit card that pays for things out of your paypal account.

I wasn't aware of this before.
I will just need to compare and see if using PayPal will be cheaper than using Credit card.

Hi as an international customer, I have used paypal. But I cannot seem to pay for a payment plan with it, is this possible, I suppose I asked here because there is very little information on the Faithlife website. I am glad that FL have introduced this as I was having to pay nearly an extra £6 pounds in fees for my bank for paying in dollars on each transaction.

I am in the UK and I just use my standard credit card for payments. There is no fixed charge for me doing that, but there is a 3% fee charge. So for example, the infamous encyclopedia at $99 came out as £65 (c.1.53 exchange rate, which is about the right rate at the time) plus £1.92 fee.
I've tried PayPal for US transactions, but recently I've noticed their exchange rate for $ to £ is well below the current exchange rate. Eg currently 1.49 instead of 1.54. But I suppose with the 3% fee that is roughly the same overall exchange rate as the credit card.

I'm an international customer. I don't have a credit card. I have a paypal account with banking details. But when I enter my banking details it tells me something like "you are already using this bank account" and I'm taken back to the page where I am asked to enter banking details. What sort of logic is that? Does this have to do something with "when your paypal account is empty"?

Let me speculate. For US customers it's not needed, since there's no difference whether they let FL charge their credit card directly, or let PP charge their credit card. Just a lot more fees involved for FL.
International customers can use Paypal to pay by direct debit, bank draft etc. Credit cards are not that common in many countries in the world as they are in the US, and Paypal offers a selection of other popular payment options in those countries.

Paypal also charges 3 to 4% for currency conversion. There's a fees table at the bottom of that page:

They add the fee to the exchange rate, which is a bit sneaky, and makes them look less expensive than they actually are.
If you use your credit card a lot for international purchases, it might be worth looking for an alternative. 3% fees is quite expensive. I only pay 1.5% fees, and used to have a card with 1.0% fees at my previous bank.
