Annual Pricing on a Payment Plan?

Is Direct Sales allowed to add an annual subscription to Logos Cloud Plus and Logos Now to an order that is being added to a Payment Plan? I'm about to place an order with direct sales this month and add it to my Payment Plan. Throwing in an annual Cloud and Now subscription to it would be handy (since I'm paying off the plan at the end of the year).

I actually think it would be a good idea to offer a payment plan on a yearly subscription.

LOGOS could protect itself in this way.

If the customer cancels before the year is out then they would have to agree to pay a penalty. That amount would be the difference between what they 'would have paid' as a monthly user and what they did pay up to that point. That would be retroactively converting them to the monthly plan.

The user knows this up front and has to agree to the terms. Something to think about.

I myself am a core engine only (freebee) user who has only a few select resources purchased.

I use a different product for which I have already purchased a significant library and do not intend on repeating those purchases. I would consider such a plan.

Here's the reason I was wanting to do it...

I already have a large payment plan with Logos and was about to make the payment plan even larger with more journals. So it would have been nice to throw in a Cloud Annual subscription into my payment plan with the rest of my order so I didn't have to keep maintaining paying a monthly subscription for Cloud and a monthly payment for my payment plan.

What I've decided to do instead is convert my Cloud monthly to Cloud Annual, pay off my payment plan, then just dip into savings and pay it all off. That way I'm totally out of debt with Logos for a long time, and now I can just focus on making individual purchases when I need something. Hated to dip into savings, but love the freedom of being debt free, even to a company as gracious as Faithlife/Logos.

@Roy: For you, one solution would probably be to take a free month Cloud trial and see what you think. If you like it, then try a monthly plan. Plus is a REALLY good tier to start out on (I'm using it as a supplement to my Logos base package). There's some solid Biblical language tools in there, and the good news is, many of the resources in there are Logos exclusive, so they'll be content you don't have in your other platform. Plus you'll have all the datasets and be able to get more benefit out of the Logos engine. Then if there's anything else you want, buy a-la-carte. Plus you'll get new major Logos features as they're developed, as well as access to the web app if you want it.

"If" I venture into the LOGOS platform beyond what I have now, I believe that for now, I would try the PLUS option.

My main issue right now is I have just lost my job and can not/will not incur a larger ongoing debt obligation.

(I know that the LORD has a job already picked out for me, I just have to pay attention to Him while looking for it.)

As far as the trial goes, and you may know the answer to this since I see that you have done a lot of research into the cloud...

If I sign up for, lets say Premium as my trial, and after that initial month want to Downgrade to Plus, can I do that? (Without quiting all together and restarting at a lower level?). I am assuming that if I did stop and then restart, I can choose whichever level I wanted at the time?

I would actually like to "Try" the "Professional Level" just to see what is there, but want to be sure that I do not loose the ability to Downgrade once the "Trial" period is over.

I'm not sure if there's an "easy" way to "trial" Professional right now, as that one involves more action to talk to Logos Cloud Sales than the other tiers. I think Professional would be WAY overkill to even trial right now for you. Even with my extensive library needs, I haven't justified it yet.

If you wanted to try Premium then downgrade to Plus after the trial, here's what you'd want to do.

1. Signup for the Premium one month free trial.

2. Go into your Logos Subscriptions page and turn off auto-renew on the Premium subscription (as by default it WILL auto renew after the trial unless you turn it off).

3. After the trial is up, if you want to keep premium, just switch auto-renew back on. If you want Plus, just signup for Plus. You won't get an extra month free since you already trialed Premium, but then you'd only be paying the $19.99/month and can cancel anytime.

Premium is nice, and it also gives you all of the benefits of Logos Now (Plus gives you most but leaves off a couple of datasets). I chose to do Logos Now+Cloud Plus since I don't need some of the extra books in Premium right now. I mainly needed EEC, Discourse Bundle, Lexham Bible Guides, Reformed Dogmatics, etc., and found out it'd still be less for me to go with Cloud Plus than to buy all them on a payment plan, plus the fact I'm getting more books and extra books thrown in each month is nice. Plus is a VERY solid set of resources at a great price.

Hi Roy,

The steps that Nathan outlined for you will work. I don't see any issue with you trying out Professional instead of Premium during your trial month. It's really up to you and the amount of free hard drive space you have on your machine.
