Feedback: Filter by Passage List

I really appreciate the new Filter by Passage List option, but scrolling is very slow when the reverse interlinear ribbon is enabled. If this could be optimised, it would improve the feature significantly.

On another note, it would help if the "Open All" button was separated from the "Sort" button more clearly. At the moment the gap between them is barely more than the space between words.

Finally, as the "Open all" button only opens Bible references, it might be worth making that clearer, either by changing the label or by adding hover text.

I'll piggyback on Mark's remarks. This has some nice potential uses. However, if I do not merge overlapping references in a Passage List it is because the entries represent independent elements. I understand why for conversion to a Visual Filter, you merge the references. However, I would like some indication on the filter heading for the segment that it is a composite. Even a single character "multiple segment indicator" would be sufficient.

Note for Passage Lists that are derived from lectionary, ISSL etc. sources, an option to have the filter show me everything NOT in the list would be even more useful.

I don't think we want to do this, for architectural reasons. Note also that because of the way resource filtering works, passages are shown in resource order, so we're also obliterating any custom passage sorting that exists in the document. It's meant to be a bulk lookup, not as an alternate way to represent the document.

It's a little smarter than that: If there are versions in the "Add Versions" display list, the button will open the top resource that is a valid keylink destination for the first resource in add versions, that is, whatever is in the first column. If there are no versions, it uses the top keylink destination for the first item in the passage list. (Yes, we'll be adding this to the help file. [:)])

We'll look into adding that to a tool tip, maybe "Open all matching references in %resourceTitle."

Note that when the document is in columnar view, you can click on the column headings to "Open all" in that specific resource. That gives you control. Using the toolbar button uses the program's best guess. (We suspect the heuristic outlined above will work well for almost all passage lists.)
