Where does L4 save its resources on my computer?
my location is C:\Users\spitzerpl\AppData\Local\Logos4. Change the spitzerpl with your username.

It's a hidden folder
EDIT: [Kevin beat me to it - and his is much classier ie "random" versus "gobbldy-splat"]
Logs4 is "hidden" in
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\"Your name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\"gobble-de-splat etc"\ResourceManager\Resources
"gobblydy-splat" means some indecipherable code which changes from computer to computer
Logs4 is "hidden" in Vista/Win7 - C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\"gobble-de-splat etc"\ResourceManager\Resources
More specifically, it is in: Logos4\Data\xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx\ResourceManager\Resources. When downloading, it temporarily stores them in Logos4\Data\xxxxxxxxx.xxx\ResourceManager\Downloaded, but them moves them to the Resources folder when done downloading.
I just put a resource in the "Logos4" folder it L4 found it.

How do I get the hidden file to appear. I already set it to appear in the folder options, but still cannot see the books. -- found them
