Transfer of Bible highlighting to another version?
Is there a way to transfer the highlighting I did in the King James Version to the ESV, and vise versa?

I'm sorry but the only way I am aware of is to transfer them manually. You could open them side by side to make the process easier.

Highlights, by definition, are notes of selection... you select the specific text (or characters!) you want to highlight... they aren't tied to a reference, lemma, or anything else. The only way for you to "transfer" highlights from one translation to another is to manually, one by one, create the new highlights.

While Bruce and Alabama are correct in terms of transferring highlights, Logos Now 6.8 (currently in RC stage) will provide the ability for a "Sympathetic Notes Visual Filter" (for original language Bibles or Bibles with Reverse Interlinears)
This enables you to see highlights from one version displayed in another.

Now thats a very useful tool- just highlighted the text in UBS5 and it appeared in the ESV- this works very well with multiview function- awesome!

Did notice something using the ESV/ LHB combination- hilites in yellow in the LHB appear gray in the ESV- bug?
Got the same result using other Hebrew text.

I'm not at my computer to check at the moment.
But in the "gray" case was this an actual highlight or were you simply selecting text in one version and sympathetic highlighting caused the highlight the other?

A pure guess: it might be a unique problem to you and be related to how you have pallets set up.

I was highligting in UBS5 with ESV open both showed up in yellow like intended, I then switched to a OT text- the LHB and BHW highlighted the Hebrew text in yellow, but this time the ESV should up in gray. Curious why highlighting in the Grk text the ESV showed as intended, yellow, but the Hebrew text highlighted the ESV in gray.

My problem is that Logos has published more than one copy of the KJV, so that my highlights are all over the place. I never know which one I'm using with much confidence. Another problem is that I do sometimes like to refer to other modern translations, like the ESV or NASB.
It would be great if, between Bible versions, if there was an option to transfer highlights. In the case of entire verses being highlighted, that should be an easy task for the programmers. In the cases of individual words or partial verses, perhaps the transfer could involve using a different color, so the user is alerted to the possibility that the transfer may or may not be as originally intended.
Do you have the same problem with Bible notes?
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with Logos 6 to understand the overlay approach mentioned by other users in previous posts.

Does that include the various versions of the KJV Logos has published?
One problem that I encountered is that I put a lot of highlights into one KJV version. Then an upgrade came... I think it was the one from Libronix to Logos. I was required to re-choose the KJV version. Apparently I found the wrong one. Eventually I realized I had highlighted some verses before, but the highlights were missing.

As stated above there isn't any mechanism for "bulk transfer" of highlights.
One option available (introduced in Logos 6) is the ability to "add an attachment point" to a note or highlight (just to make clear - within Logos - a highlight is a special class of note)
In the screenshot below I have two copies of the KJV / AV open. The one on the top-left has had a highlight applied (with this highlight being stored in a Notes Document - bottom left), the one on the right does not have a highlight.
If I hover my cursor over the note title I get a dropup - clicking on that I can choose "edit attachment points"
which results in
I can now select the portion of text I want this highlight to apply to in the unhlighted version and click "Attach to current selection"
which results in
Click "Done" and it is complete.
It does require work but it is probably the best way I know to do what you are trying to do

As highlights are a class of notes the same principles apply. Highlights are an example of "notes by selection" which are not shared across version. "Notes by reference" are not linked to any particular version and are visible in all resources with a Bible index.
