i just downloaded the Steve Green MIDI pub and trued to,listen to a song but I can't figure out how to play it.

I don't think so. One of the developers wrote this (in 2011):

It should be possible to implement this, but not sure if they think of it as an important thing considering how few midi files related resources they have.
