Indexing at 1544 of 2651 resourses for over 30 hours

I cannot get past the indexing of resource 1,544. It has been at least 30 hours but I am not certain how much more because i stopped monitoring the indexing process for several hours.

I have virtuallty shut down doing anything thing else in hopes that it would help. I have waited because I realize there are a lot of us hitting the server. After I read that it took Phil around 36 hours to index considerably more resources, I thought I would ask for help.

Here is my system information:

O/S: Windows XP, Media Center Edition Version 2002, SP 3

CPU: Intel Core 2, 6300 @ 1.86 Ghz

RAM: 2 GB

Display: Intel G965 Express Chipset Family

Disk Free Space: 40% (91 GB Free Space of 228 GB Capacity)

Comcast Broadband Internet Connection

Upload Speed: 2.79 Mb/s

Download Speed: 4.36 Mb/s

Ping: 52 ms

I shut down all apps except Time of Day, Volume, Norton Internet Security and Webroot Antivirus in system tray.
