1. We already have the ability to search within headings or large text.

2. A search of the Table of contents - in the resource not on the left side bar - we have our choice of Find or Search.

The net results is that I no longer see the need for this request. Others need to defend the need or request it be closed as the feature is essentially available.

As I see it, this (perhaps not very surprisingly to you) comes down to the topic of insufficient resource tagging. For some reason (or no reason) Logos did not tag headings in the past, not even headwords or titles in resources like Lexicons, Encyclopedias, Journals or Festschrift monographs. Someone smart recognized that in many resources those headings are typographically delineated by larger text and built the large text automatic - but this won't work consistently, especially since larger text is used only in some resources - many other use bold text of for the same thing.

As an example, think of the recent forum thread on monogenes. How to make sure you find every book in the library where monogenes is (part of) a headword or heading?

Yes, but this will presuppose you already are in the resource, while I understand Rosie's request to be on the library level.

I don't see this resolved. Basically the desired feature asks for a search field that works like heading and large text, but consistently over the whole library (e.g. by taking up what Logos puts into the toc) in order to find all instances of info relating meaningfully - not only in passing - to a certain topic. As I see it, you struggle with this yourself and try to push community tags as a stop gap measure.

I certainly agree with you on the tagging - and on having knowledge of what is and is not covered by the tagging.

I included "large text" specifically because I do not trust "headings" to be complete.

I can see the usefulness of a library level search on Table of Contents although it would not be high on my personal list of requirements.

And, just for the record: do not consider the lack of response to your other uservoice reviews as a lack of interest or agreement - most often, your posts are so reasonable, round and complete, that one could only put a "+1" as reply, which many people don't want to do in an inflationary manner. There surely is a large silent agreement of forum regulars who read those and don't post a reply.

What I really want to see is an increase in the total number of votes distributed - hoping that some topic matters enough to a user for them to go to uservoice for the first time ... or after a long absence.
