Starter Set or Full Feature Set?

I have the Gold package and currently have Logos 5. Was thinking of upgrading to L7 but am really not interested in new books. The majority of the books provided in the new packages are not books I am interested in and would rather purchase the books/commentaries that I want and will actually use seperately. With that being said, I see I could buy what they refer to as a Starter Set, or for about $230 more I could get the Full Feature Set. However, there are very few resources I see in the Full Feature that appeal to me. If I go with the Starter Set, am I getting all of the new features of L7, or a scaled down version. To be honest, the entire process of upgrading is very confusing to me. Any help would be appreciated.

The Starter feature set is not the full set of features. The Full Feature Set does include the full set of L7 features. Compare them here.

Hi Frank thanks for the question!
We are sorry that the upgrade process is overly confusing and we are working on simplifying the process. You are correct in saying that you do not need to purchase a new library. If you are just looking for the new features and already have a great library you have three options:
Option 1: Starter Feature Set
This option has a few of the new features of Logos 7, but for a long time user with a great library, I would not recommend this option.
Option 2: Full Feature Set
This is a great option for users who already have a great library and want all of the new features available in a Logos 7 base package.
Option 3: Logos Now
This option can be used by itself or in conjunction with either of the first two options for customers who like to own their features outright. By itself, a Logos Now membership will give you access to EVERY feature in Logos including a few that are exclusive to Logos Now Members. Just like Logos Now was in the past, when we release new features to Logos, these will only be available to Logos Now Members until Logos 8 releases. A Logos Now Membership also gives users access to member only discounts when they are looking to add to their library as well as a rotating library of Mobile Ed courses enjoy.

Thanks so much. That answers my question. I think I'll go with the Full Feature Set. Thanks again!

In my opinion, your best bet is a Logos Now membership. What is your total for the "Full Feature Set"?

The starter package comes with a smaller subset. The full subset can be had at the bronze level.
You might want to consider looking into NOW if all you want is the new features and not new books.

Flackey ... if you have L5 Gold, you have most of the Starter Set ... except maybe the lectionaries and some more interlinears.
The full feature set will keep you up to date, but not useful if you don't need.
That leaves Logos Now. Frankly are you sure you need any of these? I got the Full Feature, but mainly 2 interlinears I wanted.

Someone could also choose to buy a Starter Library along with the Full Feature Set--it's just that by default what shows up in one's cart (if one does not have Now) when clicking to buy a Starter base package is the Starter Library with the Starter Feature Set.

By comparison, Logos Now is $89.99 for a year (if that order is placed before 2017) and $99.99/yr for next year, for a total price of <$200 USD. Logos Now also includes some stuff that cannot be bought in any feature set. So, depending on how much you value owning versus renting, it may be a better deal for you.
