Proclaim Audio randomly stops functioning

This happened some time ago, but I can't find the thread, so I'm asking again. Our announcements video randomly (and not very often) stops playing sound. This morning (8/28/16) we played two video first service, and one during second service, and they worked just fine. Then we went to play the second, and the audio simply didn't come on. Suggestions?

Hi, Paul. Is it possible that the video volume would have been changed before the second video of the second service was played?

Good question. If this was the first time, I would say it's a possibility. However, this is the 3rd or 4th time, and we've thoroughly checked that potential out. It doesn't happen often - the last time was the 2nd week of July, I think - but when it happens, it's a little embarrassing.

I'm having trouble reproducing this -- usually the videos are more stable on Mac because of the limited hardware/driver configurations. When the audio doesn't play are you able to get it back by changing the service item and going back, or is it permanently gone?

We have to reboot proclaim, then it works just fine. Everything else we've tried without doing that has not worked.

Yeah, when it happens only once a month (like I said, the last time it happened was mid-July), it's probably hard to figure it out. I was hoping sending you the log files before I had shut down the computer would help. Now I'm wondering if the problem was that I didn't send them before I rebooted Proclaim.

Also, since your videos are local-only, could you share one of the ones that didn't play audio (via Google Drive/Dropbox/etc.)? I'm interested to see what happens if I try to play import it locally. (This version may be different than the version you'd sync).

I have loaded the videos for Aug. 28. The one we had the problem with was right after the Harvest Kids' Church slide.

It's possible that Proclaim is adjusting the volume for you... We have code that fades the volume in and out when navigating slides and there could be a bug in this area. If it happens again it would be helpful if you could verify that the volume control is still at the expected position (not 0).
