Timeline Tool and Biblical Event Navigator

Are these two tools related (in underlying data)? They seem to have different presentations but similar purpose.

In implementation, time line events are separate from Biblical Event Navigator events as I discovered a couple of months back. However, the events are linked so one can navigate from one to the other when there is a correspondence.

Yes, they're related, but they're also distinct.

Timeline includes events from world history: so it's a superset of biblical events, with roughly 10x as many events
Only biblical events with an associated date range are represented on the Timeline
