Highlighting on Mac

I create manual highlights to the Greek text to help my students see certain things. In the past, I have been able to erase previously made highlights via one of two different ways:

if I have the highlighting tool present on the screen, I could select the previously highlighted text and click Erase (see attached image).
I could use a keyboard shortcut, adopted from the Mac keyboard shortcut Wiki (Shift-Command-K) to erase selected highlighting.

I'm not sure just when this stopped working (7.0 SR-1, 7.0 SR-2, or 7.0 SR-3). Has anyone else noted this? Is is a bug that needs to be/can be fixed?

Method 1 works fine for me on my MacBook. I've never tried the second method, but it doesn't work when I try it. I always just select, right-click and choose "Remove annotation" from the context menu as my preferred method of getting rid of unwanted highlights.

When I clicked on the panel with the highlighting already selected and used this key combination, nothing happened. But when I selected the text—which should have already been selected—and typed Cmd-Shift-K, the highlight was erased.
Have no idea why it did not work with previously selected text.

Yes, there's some bug where the text appears selected, but no highlighting/erasing can happen until you reselect it.

A similar issue is reproducible if you inadvertently use the wrong highlight (key) for a selection, erase it, then try to apply the desired highlight. Even though the text still appears to be selected, it won't highlight until you reselect it. I assume the same bug is why it won't erase until reselected.

My mystery has been solved. Sorry for the confusion. I made many of my annotations/highlights in the NA27 text. I've been using UBS5, and copied the corresponding highlights from NA27. Any new highlights I make on the UBS5 text can be erased either by getting the highlighting palette on the screen and clicking ERASE, or by using the keyboard shortcut Shift-Command-K.

Notes that were created on NA27 text must be erased from that text.

If any of you are copying highlights from parallel resources, to delete a highlight, you must go to the resource in which the highlight was first created. It makes perfect sense.
