Bible search engine

Dear friends. I eliminated a bunch of programs from my computer including an important one I used for searching verses with specific words. It was called Bible Seeker. Now, when I tried to re-install it, it installs a whole bunch of junk but not that program.

I liked the program because it was very light weight, it opened very fast and searched very fast, so I used it in conjunction with my Logos program almost daily. Do any of you have any suggestions of a program I can download into my PC to quickly search for Biblical passages based on specific words? I would be most obliged and grateful for suggestions. I found one PC app but all it offers is the ability to go to any verse in the Bible that I already know. Instead, I wish to work with something that works more like a concordance and I do not want to use my Logos software for that. Thanks.

This program offered KJV, ASV, and Reina Valera in Spanish. The truth of the matter is that I would be glad if it had the KJV. Anything else would be great as long as it is a very simple and fast program. Thanks, again.

Apologies since personally tend to keep Logos 7 open (and not use other Bible software).

Basic search with proximity can find words in adjacent verses within a chapter:

Lord NEAR worry

Lord WITHIN 11 WORDS worry

Logos Bible Search only looks for words within a verse. Basis Search found Philippians 4:5-6 and 1 Corinthians 7:35-36

The proximity operator NEAR seems equivalent to WITHIN 9 WORDS

The collection "Bible Compare English" has ten Bibles that can be used in Text Comparison with Interlinear

Personally have added year prefix to many Bibles so alphabetic sort is chronological.

Instead of using a different program in which you do not take advantage of the resources you have already bought in Logos, you can use two possible lighter weight alternatives to the Logos Desktop program:

The first (if you do not have Logos Now) is www.biblia.com . It is only as far away as opening your browser and loading a page. Once you sign in, it should always open with your library resources at the ready. You can do searches and more there.

The second (if you use Windows) there used to be the Logos App from the Windows Store. I don't know if they took it down as I could not find it just now.

I found two download sites for that program. When done I would scan it for viruses (if not done by your Security Suite) and install it; carefully watching each screen for "junk" software and deselecting it.

This is not an option. It is no longer availble. It was removed a long time ago.

Thanks to each and every one of you for your help. I wanted to report back in case anyone else is interested.

The reason I use another program beside Logos for word searches is that I am using Logos for other things at the same time, and do not want to disturb my setup. I was intrigued by the www.biblia.com idea. How do I have it search only in the KJV? The reason I ask this is that while some searches are going to be very specific, others will yield a very large number of results, and I wish to see them only in one Bible version at a time.

I also found several places that had my old program, but at the end, they all installed unwanted programs AND DID NOT install the advertised program!

The good news is that I did find something I can use which in some ways is better and in others not quite as good, for a search engine: WORDsearch Basic. It is Word Search Bible by LifeWay and I have been really enjoying it. It is a powerful search engine and has the advantage of providing the Biblical book name and range of verses, such as Isaiah 1:4-6, etc. as I cut and copy.
