Is there an argument I can add to a Logos 7 shortcut to disable the splash screen? Should be simple enough but I don't recall it ever mentioned.
Given how long it takes for the Logos window to open, not opening the splash screen to advise you that something is happening sounds doesn't seem like a good idea.
There isn't a splash screen on the Mac. It's been a feature on other Windows programs to turn off the splash screen. The first real function is sign-in, so the screen serves nothing more than a veil,

No.

Yes, it hides the fact that you are signing in and/or preparing library, otherwise you will get those popups followed by a blank screen.
Thanks Dave. Would be nice if they could add a way to do it. Splash screens are really kind of dated.
Splash screens are really kind of dated.
Dated they might be, but they save users (especially on slow systems) much heartburn to know that Logos is loading behind the scene.
I prefer to think of them as stylishly retro. [;)]
I have to stay amazed at how God resolves even such small issues. My recently fixed Win desktop opens Logos 7 so fast you don't even see the splash screen. Nothing fancy, no SSD or even hybrid, stock 7200 HD.[8-|]
