Lazy or incompitent Logos staff cause problems for Biblical researcher

Morning

I have attempted several times to resolve my issue, but unfortunately due to lazy or incompetent Logos staff nothing has been done. During the last update for the Logos 7 software amongst other things, it played havoc with the fonts in my NLT. I make lots and lots mark ups and the update increased the size of some the mark ups font exponentially. Yes I sent and no there was no reply or resolve. I asked for a resolve via email, had a couple of responses but no follow up whatsoever. I decided to amend myself as I read through my Bible a couple of times a year. I would remove all annotations and then mark up again. As I amended what I did not realise is when you remove annotations it also removes the notes made with them. I have lost years and years of personal work. This has made me incredibly sad and greatly frustrated.

Can I retrieve notes lost this week via this process?

If not CAN SOMETHING PLEASE BE DONE REGARDING THIS ISSUE?  I am sure I am not the only one who has experienced this problem. I use Logos everyday and can cope with most of the niggles as they are mildly frustrating, but this is not funny on any level or tolerable.

David

    Morning David

Sorry to hear you have lost notes through this process.

Most of us on these forums are fellow users of the software and so don't have any access to the back-end systems. I am aware of cases in the past where Faithlife people have been able to recover lost notes. So I suggest you contact them and see if they can help.

I will also flag it for their attention.

    Hi David

Sorry to hear you've had problems.

Have you tried looking at https://documents.logos.com/ to see if your notes are there? The dropbox down box at the top should allow you to search for deleted documents.

    David,

Give this a try. Any Logos generated document I have ever deleted I can find here.

David, I trip over the title of your post every time I scan the forums. I pray that you're quickly restored & that you're able to see them in the more favorable light that they deserve. So very many times they've gone out of their way to help--so many that I KNOW they aren't either lazy or incompetent.

Yes, we've all been where you are (I've been there more than once). But to assassinate their character because I'm frustrated at the impact of my mistakes?

    I'll stop here.

    I'm praying for your restoration...

    Grace & Peace,
    Bill

David's frustration, while it may not have been expressed in the most appropriate way in the heading is still valid.  i do not read where he says his frustration was with FL because of his mistake that resulted from a lack of understanding of how highlights and notes work. He was clear his frustration was due to the lack of response and the help that was offered when he reached out to find a resolution to his mistake. It's not the first time this mistake has been made by a user and I suspect it wont be the last.

It is an unfair judgement to state "But to assassinate their character because I'm frustrated at the impact of my mistakes?" when David was clear his frustration was about the response he got from FL.  He did not say he was frustrated with them because of his mistake.

Thankful for the those respondents who sought not to judge David but simply sought to assist him resolve the issue. If you feel the need to judge someone at least judge them for the right reason.
