Problem copying citations...

I'm a new user so it may be operator error, I'm writing a paper for the first time using logos and when I try to copy over a quote from a resource I don't get a footnote citing the material that I just pasted. I've gone into settings to insure that it is turned on (which it is). I'm using google docs to type up my paper. Is that citation pasting tool compatible with Google docs, should I expect it to work with something else like Word?
Thanks

Welcome Clint
Assuming the setting "Copy Citations" = YES then you will get a citation but the text has to be longer than about 40 chars. So you will have to copy a longer segment than you want and then truncate it.
e.g. I baptize you with water for repentance ---> is too short, so copy
I baptize you with water for repentance, but he
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2001). (Mt 3:11). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.Dave

Dave Thank you for responding for help. I just double checked my settings and it does say YES to Copy Citations. I did just try to copy a whole paragraph from the NAC Romans into google docs and it again did not copy a cited footnote into the document. I don't have mircrosoft word to try that out, but it still isn't working through my use of google docs.

Try pasting a sentence into the forum text box when you respond to my post (or into a text editor). It will tell you if citations are working

It doesn't work for me when pasting into IE. When I asked I was informed the problem was within the browser. If I post into Notepad or something similar I get the citation, then copying from Notepad gives me what I want. Your problem may be related.

Note that there's a difference between Copy Citations and Copy Footnotes. It's unclear which you were trying to do. From your text that I've bolded above it sounds like perhaps it was the latter?
Copy Citations is supposed to insert a footnote and give the citation for the resource that you copied from. It works fine for me in both Word and Google Docs and the forums and Notepad. Here's an example from NAC Romans in Google Docs:
Copy Footnotes, on the other hand, is supposed to copy all the footnotes that were in the source text. In the example above, we can see that the footnoate markers (2, 3, and 4) did get copied, but the footnotes themselves did not. Copy Footnotes only seems to work in Microsoft Word among those apps I mentioned. It doesn't work in Google Docs, the forum, or Notepad.
Interestingly, even Copy Citations doesn't work in Wordpad, even though Wordpad is one of the formats Logos supposedly supports in Copy Bible Verses.
I'm not sure if these issues are due to a bug in Logos or limitations in the software being pasted into.

Workaround for copying citations from Logos on Mac OS to Google docs - Firefox browser appends the citation in a manner similar to citations on Word for Mac (Safari and Chrome (strange) do not add citations, but Firefox does

In recent versions of Logos, there's a new "Copy citations as: Automatic / Footnote / Text" option. Setting it to "Text" (instead of Automatic) may let you paste the citation into Google Docs with any browser.

When copying into power point the following errors occur
- text after a footnote continue to be copied in superscript requiring me to select, go to font and unclick the superscript box
- text after italics continues to be in italics (e.g. transliterated words or quoted words in italics)
- I end up with two citations - one without the title of the book followed by one with the title of the book.

Andrew,
Please create a thread in the Desktop App Forum where you should get responses from Mac users.

That looks like a valid citation using the BibTeX style. If that's not your preferred style, you can change it in your Application Settings.
