BUG? URL favorite

This is stupid but I've been fighting with it since yesterday evening. I have added several URL's to my favorites panel without problem - going from browser to shortcut bar to favorites. However, I cannot move the Orthodox Wiki to the shortcut bar? In the screen shot I show both placed I tried to move it. Can someone else try this for me and see how nuts I am or if there truly is strangeness going on here? Thanks.

Trying to drag a URL to the shortcut bar didn't work for me either. i presume that you primarily want Logos to address this. Or/and you want others with B8 to try this.

But for a work-around, (works in 4.0aSr3)

a) drag the URL to Favorites

b) drag the favorite to the Shortcut bar (being careful to be right next to the last shortcut or even better in between 2 shortcuts)

c) now the URL to Orthodoxwiki is a shortcut and it does open the browser (FireFox) to the wiki

Thank you. Where I really want it is in favorites - I didn't think to try the direct route because that had not worked in the past. I wonder if Logos can explain what is different about this site?

Addition: Oops, on beta 8 I can't drop it in favorites either.

I'll report this. For now, try saving the URL to your browser Favorites list first, then dragging from there to either the Shortcut bar or Favorites panel in Logos 4.

I have tried both, multiple times and even on the newest beta. However, http://orthodoxwiki.org/Main_Page is determined to not work. At least I can entertain myself with all sorts of nefarious conspiracies since it is an Eastern Orthodox site. I did have it successfully linked in L3.

UPDATE: with beta 9, a blank spot on the favorites and the favorites pane not expanded I finally got the link to take. Note that I had no problem with other links - it is something specific to this site.

I just tried it with your link to http://orthodoxwiki.org/Main_page, saving the URL to my IE favorites first, then I dragged it from the IE Favorites menu to the L4 Favorites panel, and it worked. I then dragged it from the IE Favorites menu to the L4 shortcut bar, and that worked as well.

I'm not able, however, to drag directly from the address bar, which should work, too.

This should be fixed in the next beta. (FWIW, the "odd" thing about this link is the location of the "favicon.ico" file that gives the site its custom icon. The next beta will let the URL be dragged to the Shortcuts bar, but won't load the Orthodox Wiki icon; it will just display a generic link icon.)

If this is a Mac specific problem, you may get better results posting this question to one of the Mac forums.

Beyond that the only thing I can think of is to install a browser to the same desktop as Logos.

I always set certain applications, including Safari, to appear in all Spaces. This would eliminate such problems. Safari and Word Processors are often used in conjunction with other apps, so I keep them on the desktop in all spaces. If they get in your way, you can always Cmd-H and hide them.

Do you need any guidance to accomplish this?
