I've read through all of the posts on this issue, but to no avail. Running Logos 7.9. Fresh MacOS install as well as Logos 7 install. All drivers up to date.

Is there any way I can change my default translation other than through the home page (which I cannot see)?

The "default" translation is simply your highest prioritized Bible in the library. Are you familiar with prioritization? (see here: https://wiki.logos.com/Prioritizing )

I'll check it out. I was just used to selecting it from my home screen.

Assuming you can access your Library, see this article on Prioritizing (just drag the bible into the Prioritize panel).

If you have installed the latest video/graphics driver then I suggest you contact Customer Service.

EDIT: Your logs show you trying to open a layout, not the home page. Are you getting a blank window?

Okay, so ... I was fooling around with settings. My MacBook Pro has two graphics options ... so I went into Energy Saver and unchecked "Automatic Graphics Switching" which allowed my Home Screen to show up.
