I'm trying to install Logos 4.0a from DVD onto a Windows XP SP3 laptop. I am performing the installation as an administrator, though I'll run as a non-admin user after installation. I picked a custom installation. It specifies the default folder for installation as a location under C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Local Settings\Application Data. That's clearly not a standard location to install a program. So I changed the destination folder to a more typical C:\Program Files\Logos4. That resulted in an error message that Logos 4 can't be installed to a system folder.
What's going on here? Why can't the application be installed where all my other applications are installed? This seems a little ridiculous to me. I'm definitely *not* going to install it anyplace under "Documents and Settings".
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks,
