Thanks! That’s what I’m talking about. Lower the price on a good quality resource for a week and advertise it heavily. That’s what Accordance does every week. They have a pinned section in their forum titled “announcements“ and that’s where they advertise their weekly deep discounted sales along with introductory prices for new products.
Not a bad idea 💡

This is a great price. I was happy to buy it for $97 a while back.
I'm glad this thread reminded me that I own it! I need some good audio to listen to for the week.

Since this thread is about Carson's sermons, I will take this opportunity to suggest a use case for mobile devices.
Prescan these sermons (and other audio files) on your desktop and navigate to particular sermons which are of interest. Create a folder in Favorites for Carson's sermons. Naturally, you could just create a general Favorites folder for a collection of audio content which you would like to add to the queue. Then drag the tab of the sermon to the favorites.
On your mobile device, open the favorites and locate the folder with sermons that are in your queue. At least for Carson's sermons, the sermon name is on the Favorites list. This is much easier than dealing with the long list of sermons on the mobile list.

Just a reminder for those who have Logos Now and ordered this on Pre Pub. The 1 year price matching (https://community.logos.com/forums/t/133649.aspx ) for those who were then and still are Logos Now subscribers applies. Logos credit for the $14.95 difference is available upon request. Thank you Faithlife!

Thanks Dave - I would not have been aware of this apart from your reminder! Keep well Paul

David,
Wondering how to make the Carson sermons work best for me. . .If I open up a Passage Guide for a particular text, I can open up the Commentaries and Sermons lists that pop up. . .and among the sermons there will be such things as Spurgeon, MacArthur, and Platt. But Carson's sermons are not coming up, even though I purchased them. Do you know what I am doing wrong here? Very novice at the actual use of Logos beyond the basics. . .so you won't offend me if it's user error!

This often has to do with tagging of some kind. I know MacArthur's sermons wouldn't come up in the PL for quite a while, and someone at FL explained they were still being tagged, and would work when the tagging was complete.
I don't know if this is the issue for you, but it might be.

When I type "Ephesians 1" into the Passage Guide, it finds 3 Carson sermons. However, if I open the sermons resource into a tab and perform a <CTRL>-F type find for "Ephesians 1", it locates 6 sermons. One of the 6 appears to be a video.
My find in the resource finds one sermon whose name includes "(Ephesians 1:3-14)", but it doesn't find a second one with the same citation in the title. I think Doc B's suggestion that it is a tagging problem may make sense.
However, I DO find 3 sermons.
When I perform the same experiment with "Revelation", the Passage Guide finds 31 sermons and the resource find locates more than 50.

This technique seemed to work yesterday, but today, after I added about 15 sermons to my favorites, it doesn't work on my iPhone.

Todd, hopefully you have discovered more than one Carson sermon in your Passage Guide by now. I wondered if when you posted that indexing of the sermons might have still been going on. By now that should be done. If you are still having trouble, let us know.

There is a known problem with tagging in Revelation. See here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/153578/935010.aspx#935010

Thanks. It may have been tagging. . .more are definitely showing up. I know it was not indexing since it had completed that the day before.
Here's another newbie question: I have a Passage Guide open to a text (say Luke 2) and I want the following 5-6 areas to open (and no other areas): Commentaries, Sermons, Systematic Theologies, Outlines, Music, Faithlife Music [This is a useful starting place for sermon prep on shorter/less intense sermons].
I want this to always save as a layout. . .so that when I change the passage at the top, no other possible offerings (Word Studies, Journals, and a thousand other things) do not open. But only these 4-5 in this order. Is this possible? I saved it as a link on my bar at the top, but when I change the passage it all falls apart. I'm sure it's user error again. . .

Hi Todd
I suggest you look at creating a Custom Passage Guide - see https://wiki.logos.com/Guides__#Customizing_a_Guide for some pointers.

Hi Todd
Glad it helped and please do post back with questions about the use of Logos software.
Its normally best to start a new thread for a new topic so it gets the best focus.
