Last updates won't index - Logos keeps closing

When I opened Logos 4 this afternoon, I was notified on a 200+mb download (update). Normal business, it has happened loads of times since I got the Logos 4 upgrade in November. The problem is that, this time for the first time, Logos keeps crashing while trying to start the indexing. That is, the download completed and Logos 4 restarted, per normal. Then it started indexing, but, within a few minutes, I got an error report saying that Logos had encountered an error and needed to close. I closed Logos, re-opened and it started trying to index the updated materials. Again the error message. I've tried it twice more, included re-booting windows. No joy, I just keep getting the error message and the indexing hasn't happened. What gives? Why the problem after so many successful updates?

Others have asked, why the problem so often?

If you can get into Logos without the indexer crashing, type 'Rebuild Index' into the Command Bar and hit Enter.

If you cannot do this, delete a couple of files dealing with the indexer.

The contents of: C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\{Random String}\LibraryIndex

and C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\{Random String}\BibleIndex

then restart Logos.

BTW:

Do you have diagnostic logging enabled? It might not be bad to enable it so when something like this happens you'd have a log file to attach to your posting. When strange things happen that often helps to figure it out.

Thanks much for the assistance; the rebuild index command worked. I also set up the logging so that I'll have a record the next time something happens. I do appreciate the help.
