How to tell if my Silver is properly installed?

I own Logos 7 SIlver and if I look at the Silver package on the Logos web site it says "Congratulations. You own this package"

But when I select Logos/about Logos Bible Software on my Mac desktop application iI see this:

So, my questions are; why doesn't it say something about "Silver"? And, is Silver properly installed on my laptop?

Why does it say "Logos 7 Library"?

If broken how do I fix this?

Why am I so paranoid about this?

Who is going to win the Super Bowl?

There were complaints about what it did say that people felt was incorrect. (For example, if someone owned Logos 6 Collector's Edition, and then purchased Logos 7 Starter, they may have wanted it to say the highest base package, not the most recent base package.)

FL couldn't satisfy all the different complaints, and just generalized it to indicate whether your library was L7 or not.

It's not broken.

And, is Silver properly installed on my laptop?

Logos (the application) is properly installed. The Logos 7 Silver library is more of a collection of resources which get downloaded by the application.

You could look in your library for particular resources which came with Silver, to see that they were downloaded (which happens when the program launches or automatically checks for updates (e.g., new resources you purchased that haven't been downloaded yet).

I've bought so much stuff over the yers like stuff from Baker and the NEBRL (Ive been at tis since 1995) that its hard to keep track of and I often wonder if some things have quietly gone away and if I have everything I've paid for. I'm not even sure if I remember everything. LOL

Well, you can open your library, switch to details view, then sort by "Last updated," to get a rough idea of whether something is more or less recent. It's not the purchase date, but I bet there are some older resources that haven't been updated in 10 years or more.

If you're really concerned about it, you can print/export your library listing to a file, then compare older to newer versions, to see that books are only added, not removed, over the years.

But I'd say it's unnecessary. There are plenty of long-term Logos customers who frequent the forums, and there'd be posts about missing resources, if FL removed books you purchased.

How do you sort by last updated? I don't see the last update as a column and no sort butten or any way to sort.

Right-click on a column heading to add that (or any other desired) column. More details at the wiki.

Left-click on the desired column to sort ascending or descending. More details at the wiki.

As you probably know, there are some good training videos put out by Logos (e.g. QuickStart, Logos Pro), as well as built-in help documentation (the question mark in the far right of the toolbar) that can answer questions about the library pane.

I've got to quit playing with Logos and go to bed.

I just added the License column and found that I have 2635 permanent and 93 temporary. I guess that the temporary licenses are the result of the Logos Now subscription. Probably cheaper to renew that next November than to add the resources.

I dont know, but what you SHOULD be paranoid about is giving out your email address publicly. You should delete your screenshot from your OP. If you can't, you should ask a moderator to do so.

As for the reason it says "Logos 7 Library"... I have no idea. Mine does too. The whole idea of FL listing your library there has caused nothing but heartburn for both FL & Forum members. Do you own more than one package (i.e. "Logos Basic"?)

Thanks alabama24. I substituted and new image with my email address blurred out.

I'm not too worried though. I spent 6 years as a Microsoft MVP and I ran a very popular forum and blog so my email address has been in use for 11 years now and is all over the internet. I get some junk email but I have some very power full email filters to keep out most of the spam.

Still. I missed that in the first image and I appreciate you mentioning it.

I took your advice and added Problems in Theology. I was trying to avoid adding a resource then losing it the next month.

I'm still trying to figure out how to best utilize my LogosNow benefits. I know how to search the LogosNow FBOTM for books I don't have. But is there a way to search for books of the month that are also on my wish list? Or is that a manual comparison?
