Save layouts

Clearing my browser's cache didn't cause me to loose my layout, so apparently this info is stored on the server. My guess, then, would be that it was due to an update to the app...(?) Has this occurred for you more than once? Is it on-going?

I am enjoying using the web app on my chromebook but what is killing me is the need to reset the layout again. For a few days I was successful in it opening back to the way I set it up but suddenly today it goes back to a blank slate and I lost my layout.

1. What are the steps you use to recover your previous layout?

When you close Logos, that layout is saved ("Application Closed") and you can restore it by clicking Layouts to see the window shown above, then click Application Closed to restore it to your main screen.

Jack, this doesn't apply to the web app, which is what Jeff is referring to.

Thanks for the reply Reuben. It still reverts to something odd. It seemed a few days ago like the URL would change as I modified the layout and saving that URL on the "shelf" gave me a quick link right back to that layout and it was awesome...for a few days. Below is what I want to return to. I just bookmarked the URL and also pinned it to my shelf. I will restart my Pixelbook and see if it reopens the browser tabs successfully and/or if my bookmark or shelf pin will get me back to this layout. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the reply Jack but as Reuben noted I am working from the web app and there are no options to actually save the layout except for what I describe in my response to Reuben.

So here is the result- I get this when the tabs rebuild or if I click the bookmark or the shelf pin. All the same results, odd. This looks partly like what I had setup days ago because it has the M'cheyne reading plan doc open but all the rest is missing. So I have to rebuild it all over again!!! Help me Faithlife

Sounds like a bug. Thanks for the report. We'll investigate.

Experiencing this as well. Win 7 on FFox

If you find an answer to this, I am also experiencing this problem. I go to the home menu to investigate something, I don't know how to go back to the study I have been doing with my carefully chosen resources. I'll be following to see if there is an answer.

I have discovered something that helps. At the top of the screen there is a place you can drag icons of the resources; i.e., Catholic Commentary, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge etc. This creates a short cut to each resource. When you have to rebuild the layout, it's easy to pull the resource into the designated column.

Hello Phil- Just clicked the link from the "shelf" on my chromebook and it opened up to my last layout as desired! Maybe a bug was fixed? Thank you!

Thanks for the great backup idea Rebecca but try again because it suddenly went back to working. It is now opening the layout I had "saved" by bookmarking. Yahoo!

Try again- it suddenly works again on chrome. Maybe it was a bug that was resolved.

You are right. There was an announcement that there was a new version and then my layout appeared. Cool WEB site. I started out using the app that can now be downloaded to Chromebook. But then support helped me find the online Beta site. I like it much better. The android app is for a phone and is clumsy.
