Help I can't find the information for settings in Bible Word Study

I have Logos 6. I have many Bibles in my library. In the Bible word study, you are supposed to be able to pick your bible under settings. It only shows two bibles ESV and NRSV under Greek words and only ESV version under Hebrew words.

Am I missing something? All the training videos and instructions show me being able to pick which version I want in the Bible Word Study. I don't understand why I cannot pick NIV.

DO I need to reinstall Logos for all my bibles to show and me being able to have NIV there?

I tried looking in the forums but I am so overwhelmed by the information and I can't seem to figure out how to search for this problem.

If someone could point me in the right direction to get an answer I would appreciate it.

Hi Paul - and welcome to the forums

You should be able to see Bibles which are reverse-interlinear enabled.

Are you able to take a screenshot of Bibles in your library - use the filter type:bible - and post in a reply to this thread using the paperclip icon.

Which version of the NIV do you have - 1984 or 2011?

At one point only the NT of the NIV84 was RI-enabled and I am wondering if that is the case for your installation.

and I would recommend upgrading to the free version of Logos 7 - available at https://www.logos.com/product/136022/basic - as Logos 6 is no longer supported.

    Hi Graham,

Wow thanks for your help.  It says I have 190 bibles in my library and I can't  take a screenshot of that many bibles hahahaha. Some of them I have never even heard of like Cairo Geniza Targumic Fragment: MS AA. I have the NIV 1984 edition.

Here is exactly what I meant with my previous post:

Ok I want to upgrade but I was waiting until I had money to upgrade because I thought I had to upgrade to the silver edition etc. or I had to buy a feature set to be able to use it? Is that the case? I am not really sure what a feature set is but I think it means enhanced features.  And if I upgrade how would I upgrade to a package later when I have the money?

Does an upgrade solve tech issues like this?

Thanks again Graham I appreciate your help.

    Hi Paul,

To expand what Graham said, this section of the Bible Word Study requires not just the English Bible, but the Reverse-Interlinear for that Bible. It can be difficult to know which Reverse-Interlinears you own, but if you have Logos 6 Silver, I would expect you to have more than two.

Perhaps the easiest way to find out which reverse-interlinears you own would be to go to the Logos 7 comparison page: https://www.logos.com/compare/feature-sets

Make sure "Show" is set to "All", and scroll down until you see "Interlinears" (it's about halfway down). Reverse Interlinears that you own will have a green icon to the right of them.

If only the ESV and NRSV have the green icon, then you would need to upgrade to a Logos 7 feature set to access the other Bibles. The chart will show you what other features you'd also get. If more than those versions have the green icon, but you're not seeing that in the Bible Word Study, that suggests something has gone wrong with your copy of Logos.

All that said, I would recommend you at least get the free upgrade to Logos 7. It won't add any features, but it might fix any other problems you might be having: https://www.logos.com/product/136022/basic

    Mark,

Wow ok I get it. I don't have Interlinears.

I had Logos 3 silver edition then I upgraded to 6 but I didn't buy a new silver edition. I just upgraded.

Now there is 7. So I guess what it means is I can upgrade to 7 basic and then I need to buy a feature set to get all the goodies is that right?

Unless I am confused which is entirely possible hahahahah!

    Hi Paul

    Thats just about right.

Although Logos 7 Basic does include some reverse interlinears - KJV and LEB, and I think one or two more but I’m not sure
