This book hasn't come out yet and I hope it comes to logos but I wonder how it will compare to his book on politics that is in logos. Anyone know?

Why is it that Logos doesn't have this on preorder yet? Why are we always behind everyone else...
What's new....Logos is always behind the game when it comes to new title releases.

Perhaps FL should comment on its strategy for acquiring rights to new titles and perhaps even heavily requested titles like the Baylor Handbooks. I also would like to see a more timely release of pre-pubs.
I’d definitely buy it! I copied the sample chapter to my ibooks. Nice and easy to follow format 👍😁👌

From what I can see thus far. The except I posted above is almost word for word a match to the same section in his book on politics which is in logos. I'm guessing this will be an expanded edition to that volume
I agree... Logos is so behind on this. They put books in prepub and then we have to wait for enough takers before they even work on it. I wish they would just put books in and take the risk. I also wish they would continue series they do put in The mentor commentary series is stalled and they gave up on swindoll's commentaries so I only have pieces
The Ethics title would be my purchase.
Or it could be a compilation of many articles on ethics Grudem has written and has included in many of his books.
I anxiously await an email from FL that announces pre-pub orders for ZECNT 1 Corinthians which has been offered at amazon.com since early April.

I've been in contact with Faithlife and they were awaiting some paperwork. I chased up again last week and they're going to chase it up.

Great news! Thanks for the update Paul. I appreciate it.
Based on the table of contents, there will be a lot of overlapping with this book and the book on politics by the same author. So I guess Logos can take their sweet time in making this book available. Sad that authors do this type of stuff to earn an extra buck; especially on a book titled “Biblical Ethics.” Ironic, isn’t it?

Hi all,
We have this book on our list of books to license. Once we have a license, it will go up on our pre-order program and go into production right away.
A few notes on our licensing and production process/policy:
1. In an ideal world, we'd have every book live and available for sale the day the publisher releases it. It would be the best for our customers and the best for us.
2. We've tried to address this issue to some extent with our pre-order program. We are continuing to ramp that up as we feel more confident in our ability to choose resources we believe will be successful.
3. Because there is extra work that must be done to create a Logos edition, we often cannot put a live product up on our site the same day the publisher does. We try when we can, but it depends on getting materials early enough to get the work done. Sometimes, this just isn't possible.
4. There are certain situations where we just can't get a book. Sometimes there are good reasons for it, sometimes not. In most of these cases, we are not free to share the details of the negotiations.
Having said all of that, I feel your pain--really. I love books. I have a massive print-book library at home. There are a many of these print books I'd love to see in Logos (e.g. books like Barth's Romans volume). It's painful not to have them available.
I'm grateful for your love of books and enthusiasm to have them all in Logos. We will continue to improve our ability to have more books available as quickly as possible.
Thank you Ben!
Thanks Ben,
Good information!
GIVE ME BARTH!
Thank you for your whole note and explanation, Ben. I especially appreciate the comment above because it is a good reminder for all of us who love Logos and always want it to be better, have more resources, etc. -- employees of Faithlife are just as eager, if not more so, to see Logos made better and more resources added!
Any updates on this?
Read his book on Politics (politics violate ethics in many ways), that way you can get a head start for when the renamed ”new” book with a few extras comes to Logos. Read the “Specific Issues” section and you’ll see the striking resemblance. Under “Protection of Life” you’ll find topics like abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment and self defense and ownership of guns. Under “Marriage” you’ll find topics like adultery, pornography, etc. So in essence, you’re not really missing anything by not having the “new” book on ethics (politics revised version IMHO). Gambling, gender-based quotas, war, homosexuals in the military, hate speech and everything else, you name it — everything is there in the Politics book by the same author.

Great News!
The book is now available on pre-pub

I find it strange that some books get listed on a Sunday. I guess they get added by some automatic procedure.
Thanks
