[unresolved] Logos 6 Word List Crash

While I am making word lists in Koine Greek L6 has crashed many times. I have also submitted the crash reports. So far I have had L6 crash over 15x while trying to enter words. I can only get about two to three words entered before it crashes.

James,
Sorry to read you're running into problems. I personally can't read Mac logs, but I saw the Logoscrash.txt file is empty, which doesn't help much. Maybe someone else will come around who is more proficient in this. (This thread is in the wrong subforum, but I don't think that matters much - but it may happen that someone moves it to the Logos 6 subforum).
To help fellow users or Faithlife clarify what went wrong - the feature or a part of it, a specific resource, or did you simply overtax your machine and it couldn't handle it properly (e.g. its not a good idea to make a list of all greek words in the whole LXX) - it would help a lot if you could explain what you were about to do: what was the source of the list, a bible reference, a selection, the clipboard? What resource were you trying to create the list from: a RI, a GNT, a Septuagint resource - and which one?
You may share this with a simple screenshot (save as a jpg or png file and attach to your reply post with the paperclip icon of the forum editor), or some text.

The logs give no indication of work on Word Lists so they were not enabled for the session in which the crash occurs. So enable logging and resubmit after the crash.
Also describe exactly what you are doing. From where are you getting the "Koine" Greek words?

I had enabled the Logos Logging Utility. I don't know why nothing was captured. I have typed up the issues and sent them to the Logos tech email but they said I had to post it here. I don't know why they need it posted here.
Why do you put quotes around Koine? I was typing in the words that I wanted to add to my list. I like to make my list manually. In the bottom left corner is a block to type in Lemmas. I was entering the words that I wanted. I would get to the second or third word when Logos would crash. It would happen as I was typing. There wasn't anything to overload my computer and not other apps have crashed.

I don't know why this posted here. In fact, I kept getting an error message when I tried to post the file so I can only assume that the system wasn't liking my file or something was wrong with the server.
I added some other details in another response. I am not sure what you need a screen shot of. It isn't possible to get one as the crash If you need to see where I'm typing I can do that. I'm going to see if the system is going to crash again and hopefully this time the logging tool will actually work. Hopefully the tech team will take some real action on this and fix the stability issue. I'm not the first with this issue.

James, sorry if it appears FLTech are giving you the run-around but they are the ones best able to handle this issue. They should be able to get online with you and see how the crash occurs.

Just that most people mention "Greek" only and it wasn't clear how you were making your Word list.

Do you have a case for this issue?

I can't reproduce the problem. I looked at the Support notes for James, and it looks like he was recommended to call a technician 2 days after his most recent post in this thread. I believe it may have been a local issue.

I never received any notes to call in. When I did call in I was told to post the issue to the forum. I thought it was the wrong thing for tech support to ignore the issue and hope that other people would create the fix. If you have a direct number I can call you or you can pull up my profile and call me.

Sorry James, I was just going off of the notes, which didn't detail what was said in the call. [:(]
I'll have one of our tech support guys (who won't just tell you to post on the forum) reach out to you today.

Great! I'm standing by ready to receive a call.

Just for future reference: I was having a similar problem, and I opened the word list in a floating panel and that took care of it. It goes a lot faster for me.
