When you have a guide open, whether it be the passage guide, exegetical guide, or whatever, is there a way to make it so everything isn't opened? I mean, when I used a new guide, they are all open and it makes everything so slow and takes forever to close them all.
If you right-click on one of the section headings you should get a popup menu with the option to "close all"
They should then stay closed when you reopen the guide
I always make sure each section of the guide is closed, before I close the guide. However the guide is closed is how it will open.

Maybe you know this, but you can also make a custom guide that doesn't include some of the categories: see the wiki: https://wiki.logos.com/Customizing_the_Passage_and_Exegetical_Guides
