Anyone else have this issue with Boice's Commentary on the Psalms and not hyperlinking to Spurgeon's Treasury of David?   I see that the citation is from Zondervan and that the copy in Logos is of their own production.  Any reason these can't work together?

the only reason that I can think of is that the resource must be tagged to link... Such links don't happen automatically. Some users complain about constant resource updates, but those updates bring us features like this.

My thought is:  Shouldn't that happen? (It is the main selling point of Logos)  Both resources have been around for over 6 years.

Logos continues to update resources with these kind of links all the time, but the work is endless... Especially considering the continual addition of resources.

I agree that the work is endless, and tedious.  And I appreciate the updates.   However, as a/the main selling point of the software, why has it taken 6 years for this one to be updated?  The burden/responsibility is on Logos to deliver quality in this regard in their software.  If I can't link it, I have to highlight, search and then find it on my own.  The question then becomes, why do I need Logos?

you will have to answer that for yourself. The single reason I use Logos is for an integrated library.

My personal take: The users' priorities are not necessarily the same as Faithlife's or other users when it comes to which resources to work on now. Faithlife has provided a list of the resources released in February after tagging/upgrades of various sorts. And there remains the issue of new resources incompletely tagged. But we now have the information necessary to "hold their feet to the fire" when/if we believe their priorities to be wrong. So I suggest holding their feet to the fire, keep the fire well fueled, and recommend resources to your friends to keep the revenue coming in.

I agree, MJ.  That's why I posted here.  I also reported the typo.

Another:  Moo, Douglas J. The Letters to the Colossians and to Philemon. The Pillar New Testament Commentary. Grand Rapids, MI: William B. Eerdmans Pub. Co., 2008., page 293.

The link for 1 Peter 3:1 actually links to Colossians 3:1

Another in the same work by Moo:

"Paul requires children to obey their parents because it is “right” (dikaion) and then quotes the fifth commandment of the Decalogue as justification (6:1–2)"    Links to Mark 6 and should be Eph 6

In a book released this PAST MONTH:

From Heave He Came and Sought Her, page 599.  The author cites John Piper's work that is available in Logos and there is no hyperlink.

"Piper, Let the Nations Be Glad, 118, citing Crockett and Sigountos, Through No Fault of Their Own, 260."  (Page number has no hyperlink.)

I somehow missed this thread earlier. Here are my comments.

Concerning Boice's Commentary on the Psalms

When this was produced we had not yet produced Spurgeon's Treasury of David commentary. Thus there was no target resource that we could have tagged. Boice's Expositional Commentaries do look like good candidates for updating though. I have added them to our queue. I have no timetable on when they'll be done.

Concerning the incorrect Bible links in Moo's commentary

There are over 7500 Bible references in this commentary alone. It's entirely plausible that a reference would get mistagged and then slip through QC. Please feel free to report one-off instances like this via the "Report Typo" function in the App.

Concerning From Heaven He Came:

There was no error here. The author of From Heaven is citing an earlier edition of Let the Nations Be Glad. We carry the third--new and revised--edition of Let the Nations Be Glad. Not even the pagination matches.

Concerning Updates:

Paraphrasing MJ here: all users are unique and all users have different priorities when it comes to determining which resources should be updated and when. We do our best to target resources that benefit as many as possible and/or will significantly increase the functionality of the resource in question. With that in mind, we're always open to receiving suggestion to what titles/series/collections may benefit from an update. Case in point: the aforementioned request to update Boice's Commentary on the Psams is a great suggestion and we've put it in our queue.

Is Church Dogmatics on the list? Right now, references ate largely not tagged (at least put a bibliographic tooltip translating Barth's abbreviations for books not in Logos) and page references to the standard edition (in the margins of the print study edition) are only given for section headings, making this very expensive set hard to use for writing. I know it is a huge project, but just knowing that reporting untagged references is going into someone's list somewhere will motivate me to press on.

It's on the list. No time frame though. (For purely selfish reasons this one is high on my list.)

Thanks for repsonding Kyle:

1.  I posted here precisely because of the volume of errors and the variety of resources they are in.  I simply cannot report a typo in every instance I find them.  There are too many of them.  Furthermore, I have yet to see a typo I report be updated in a work.

2.  The "quality" in your QC process should be revised.  I don't know what you consider to be an acceptable number of missing hyperlinks.  However, when I pay $30+ for a book in Logos that I ALREADY have in Kindle for $3, none is about the right number for me.

3.Again, the issue is that this is a flagship feature for Logos, there needs to be a better QA system and a quicker turn around on updates.

4.  While I have no idea on what Logos makes on its software and the state of the finances and fully embrace that disclaimer.  It would seem to me that with the addition of so many other avenues Faithlife is pursuing (Dating website???) Employing a couple of employees to scan these works and continue to improve your/our software and its efficiency would be very well spent.

From McGee, J. Vernon. Notes and Outlines for the Five-Year Study Plan. Thru the Bible Radio Network., n.d."

Ironside, H. A. Lectures on the Book of Revelation. Neptune, New Jersey: Loizeaux Brothers, Inc., 1960. (Especially good for young converts)

No Hyperlink to volume that is available in Logos.

Thanks. Lectures on the Book of Revelation was produced after Notes and Outlines for the Five-Year Study Plan and was unavailable for linking at the time.

I'll take updating Notes and Outlines under consideration.

Kyle G. Anderson:

I'll take updating Notes and Outlines under consideration.

What does this mean?  You will add it to a list of resources that need to be updated?  There is a possibility that now you are aware of no hyperlinks in the resource you will not correct them? Will some resources never be updated?  How do you determine where on a list that resources get placed to be updated?

My hope is that Logos will begin to see that the need for better QA intially and continuing improvement of their products is blatantly apparent.

This one is especially frustrating for me:

"From Heaven He  Came and Sought Her" pg 602, foot note 50:  Owen, Death of Death, 128;

The hyperlink says that the resource doesn't exist.

Now, I have just finished reading Owen's work and know it exists.  If this is linked to a "different version that Logos can't like to for whatever reason" then why is there a hyperlink at all?
