Wow, milkman...that is high praise indeed. I will most definitely read that one then (though I really ONLY preach expository anyway even as a seminarian in training). Luther Rice www.lru.edu rightfully/joyfully lauds expository preaching too.
I suppose in a nut shell he said, "Lift Christ up, exalt Him and make Him the absolute center of everything you say from the pulpit and out of it. His ppl, your ppl will be brought to their knees if you do."
Not an exact quote, but you know what I mean.

This morning I came across this while reading a bio on john chrysostom and came across this description of his ministry.
"he shepherded his flock with the Word"
thats what Chapells book encourages pastors to be like.
