[resolved] BUG: 6.3 RC1 Mac — Replace with Passage Service not working

Just installed 6.3 RC 1 on my Macbook Pro (10.10.3) and noticed that the replace with passage service isn't working any longer. I tried Pages and Textedit. All it does is switch back to Logos from the word processor and hang for a few seconds.

Can anyone else confirm this on Mac?

Yes, that seems to be my experience. I strayed yesterday from the stable to try RC-1 and find this behavior in Nisus Writer Pro. I did not try Pages or TextEdit.

Thank you for letting us know about this issue. I just talked to the developer who will be fixing this. He informed me that it will require some other architecture changes to our app folder and installation process.

Those changes were already highest on his list of priorities. But unfortunately we will be very unlikely to get them done during the 6.3 life-cycle. We expect it to be a simple fix once the architecture changes are in.

A case as been reported and we'll post an update when it's complete or we have more information.

Any work around? return to 6.2?  this is really an inconvenience to writing :-(

It could be fixed within the next week or so (in 6.3 SR-1) along with similar issues caused by installation changes for Windows.

Reverting to v6.2 is problematic but I don't know if there is a workaround

For some reason, the "Replace with Passage" service started working again for me. No idea if I did anything (maybe a restart or two?) to make it work. So you might want to keep trying it occasionally.

Add me to the list of people experiencing this. Bummer, I use this feature many times a day and have a lot of muscle memory to undo and redo while we wait for a fix.

I just replaced the installed Logos.app with the current Beta (LogosMac.dmg) and now I have "Replace with Passage" working with Word 15.10.0 (150508) for Mac! and Textedit with Yosemite 10.10.3

Version is Logos Bible Software 6.3 SR-1 (6.3.0.0056)
