Leah Parker:

Erwin,

You are correct, the 15% off coupon code will work on any base package, including any of our denominational track base packages.

The code you have received will expire July 15th, 2015 at midnight (PT). We hope you find an opportunity to use it before then. Thanks again for participating in the Treasure Hunt.

Thumbs up on the 1st point, thumbs down on the 2nd. Smile

Unfortunately, 7/15/2015 may be much too soon in order for me (and probably a lot of people) to be able to use it. The Treasure Hunt was fun and interesting anyway.

Thanks Leah

ANY base package unless you are on academic discount. In which case this was an exercise in futility. I won the ability to have a code that I can't use :P Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

"I seriously wonder how many did the Treasure hunt who didn't already have a base package."

I don't own a package, but participated. Unlikely to buy one for a variety of reasons, though I've been a user since 2003 and own a lot of books. I *am* experimenting with Logos Cloud...

Like I had said, this exercise was a failure.

I'm thinking that not many, and those that don't have a base package of any level, probably has already considered one and chose (as you did) not to buy one. The treasure hunt was probably a marketing thing to spark the interest of those new to Logos, or those who are not heavily involved in using Logos.

I wonder who won the Silver or Gold package, and if it actually will be beneficial to them. Of course, the benefit would be dependent on if they already have a base package above what is given away. If the winnings are transferable, that wouldn't matter much, as they can give the package to someone whom it would really help in their studies.

Faithlife! This would be a great opportunity to win the confidence and hearts of a lot of current customers who have shelled out a LOT of money with you. If much lesser companies do it based on the basis of a disgruntled review on Yelp or Twitter, certainly you can do it for the faithful folks who are already customers for life...you want us coming back to upgrade and a lot of us spent a lot of time figuring this deal out, so we could score a few free books! I guarantee that if most of us had the ability to throw down for a new upgrade, we wouldn't have entered the contest in the first place...

Grab the opportunity! I'd be the first to share about how awesome you guys are...

First off, thank you to everyone who participated in the Treasure Hunt! We appreciated your patience as we worked through the kinks that come with trying something brand new.

I apologize to those of you who feel your participation wasn’t beneficial. The Treasure Hunt was an opportunity for us to try something fun that we’ve never done before, and we felt like it would be a neat way for us to engage with those who are unfamiliar with Logos (while still being fun for those who are).

We realized that a lot of our engaged Logos users may already have the free gifts and the prizes from the Treasure Hunt, but we still wanted to reward them for participating with a prize they could use--15% off any upgrade.

The Treasure Hunt is just one of many sales, discounts, and giveaways we have planned for this year. Some of these promotions may be better suited for certain audiences than others. In this instance, we hope the Treasure Hunt was an exciting way for people new to Logos to become familiar with who we are and the products we offer.

Thanks again for your participation and feedback!

Great concept - pretty sorry "prize."  Congratulations: you get the opportunity to spend money?  I'll try this with my kids to see how it goes: merry christmas son, i'll let you buy yourself an xbox and even throw in a $5 gift card.  I can already see his heart melting with my abundant generosity.

You guys make a very solid product, but please listen to your customers.

Free gifts? Did I miss out on something?

I thought that there was on only 1 (the mystery prize) at the end of the event, and 1 prize for being the 1st to come up with the answer to the puzzle.

I don't understand this either.

If I'm remembering correctly, this series was one of the pages visited on the treasure hunt.

During the Treasure Hunt, we sent participants to a series of pages that offered free resources such as the R.C. Sproul Crucial Questions Series https://www.logos.com/product/45437/crucial-questions-series and the Free Book of the Month https://www.logos.com/free-book-of-the-month, and I was acknowledging that we were aware that a lot of our engaged users may already have those resources in their library. We also gave away a Platinum base package to the first person who submitted an answer, and a Gold base package to a randomly selected user who submitted an answer. Plus we gave everyone who participated in the Treasure Hunt the mystery prize.

Ahhhhh, the mystery prize. It wasn't actually much of a mystery if you read the contest details because it was stated there. I get these kinds of "prizes" all the time from car dealers and the like. Win a mystery prize - yeah $500 off a new $30,000 car. Thanks. As a non American I don't feel too bad that I was ineligible for this one Cool.

If this is what I should expect for future marketing events, then count me out.  Just as I am out on March Madness.  Instead of justification for what Logos offers, why not issue a mea culpa, and listen and act upon the comments of those of us who are the base of this company?

As far as this treasure hunt. It was a good idea but poorly executed with the mystery prize not so much a prize. Here is what FL should have done:

  1. Made it much tougher.
  2. Made it where you had to figure out the answer instead of giving it out in the end.
  3. Made it where everyone outside the main winner of the main prize who got it right won an actual prize such as a free book or at least a $50 voucher.

Sorry Leah but the Crucial questions Series was a free book since September 2014 so we already have it, and the free book of the month is also nothing new. I realize that The Treasure hunt was a very good idea but we had another expectations about the mystery prize.
