The feature that is, by far, the largest change is and interlinear gloss capability. Where I would use it is texts in Middle English or languages I am learn to write interlinear glosses in the text. They need to be searchable under "all text" as a major reason for using them is to standardize spelling so that older documents will appear in search results. It should also allow me to enter standard Bible citations in resources with abbreviations that fail to be picked up by Logos software.
The ability to turn a passage list into a visual filter. For myself this is primarily to highlight passages included in lectionaries or Bible study programs. But it is frequently requested on the forums for other purposes.
The ability to create Reading Plan Templates that parallel "Choose a predefined Reading Plan" so that I don't have to rebuild the reading plans each time for Bible study guides or mobile education course reading lists. These are things that one user ought to be able to build once and share with all other users. After removing lectionary based programs and ISSL based programs, I still have > 200 Bible study guides that would benefit from predefined reading plans and visual features.

Are you asking for:

A reference search, i.e., find references to the passages in the list, similar to <Bible Jn 3:16>
A milestone search, i.e., find the text of the passages in the list, similar to {Milestone <Bible Jn 3:16>}
All of the above!

In that case, could you clarify the original request:

For myself this is primarily to highlight passages included in lectionaries or Bible study programs.

{Milestone <Acts 2:1-11>} finds no results in LLS:CATHLECT, so are you asking for something more than what can currently even be accomplished by a Visual Filter? If so, how do you want this new feature to work?

I'll settle for #1 at this point. If I got that, I could edit the individual highlighted verses to focus on key words as needed.

If so, how do you want this new feature to work?

When I have a passage list, I want an option either in the resource menu or resource heading "Convert to Visual Filter" which creates a Visual Filter that highlights the contents of the verses of the passage list in my Bibles. As you suggested, an option to highlight the reference everywhere (as if I had searched on the list) would also me useful.

You flipped resources on my example of the lectionary and Bible study lessons - I wish to highlight in my Bibles the passages referenced in my lectionaries and/or Bible studies. Think of it as related to the Cross References section of the Passage Guide option to "Open nnn passages in XXXX" - only as "highlight nnn passages in XXXX" built from a Passage LIst.

Other examples of use:

I have a passage list of the 613 Hebrew laws - I want to have the passages highlighted in my Bibles
I have a passage list of all the beatitudes and woes of the Bible - I want to have the passages highlighted in my Bibles
I have a passage list of all the inclusios of the Bible - I want to highlight all references to the beginning and ending brackets of the inclusion (much like if I do a search * on a passage list but with control of the highlighting).
