I have a mac and logos 6 and a recent update caused an annoying bug. When I click on my logos app that is in my dock, it restarts the dock (disappears and comes back) and my wallpaper changes. The icon also goes from an application to a shortcut (little arrow on bottom left).
Anyone else experiencing this?
There is a known issue in 6.3 which caused some funky things to happen. 6.4 should fix the issue. In the meantime, try deleting the dock icon and adding a new one by opening the app from the applications folder and then using the "keep in dock" feature. You will probably need to do this again once when 6.4 ships, but hopefully not again afterwards.

I tired that and also deleting the app and reinstalling (just the app not the books) and the issue keeps popping up.

The alias indicator will keep coming back until you install 6.4 which will likely be released sometime around June 29. This problem has currently been fixed in 6.4 beta 3. I have not seen the Dock behave as you described in the original post.
Some users have unpinned Logos from the dock and launch the app from Spotlight. Type Cmd-Space, then start typing Logos in the search box. Hit Enter, and Logos will launch with a Mac-looking icon in the Dock.

I sent logs to tech support and didn't hear back
Joey Chen:I sent logs to tech support and didn't hear back
...And you won't. Probably. FL's model of customer service is to first encourage users to utilize the forums, and secondly to call customer service. You aren't likely to get support by sending in logs unprompted by a FL employee.
Thanks for the video footage. I think you can use the paperclip icon to attach it... I'll try below. I think your best bet is to wait for 6.4 to come out (or to beta test it... normal warnings apply). If that doesn't fix your issue, we can make a more concerted effort to flag FL down with a new bug report.
Sorry that tech support hasn't gotten back to you.
I saw the video when it was forwarded to me last week. I don't know the cause and don't have any suggestions for a workaround, sorry. Tech Support may have been trying to gather more information or perform additional research before following up with you.
Should I try uninstalling completely? Where can I find instructions for that?

I wouldn't uninstall Logos and reinstall. Just launch the Logos 6 app from your Applications folder instead of the Dock. The 6.3 update has caused several things that were formerly working to stop working for Mac users. They should be fixed with the next update.

Any idea when the next update will be?
Thx!

Based on FL's announced 6-week release cycle, 6.4 should be available to the Stable Channel around June 29.
6.3 SR-2 still has the same issue
Joey Chen: 6.3 SR-2 still has the same issue
the fix is in 6.4, not 6.3
just got the new 6.4 update SR-3 and it's fixed
Glad to hear it!
