This problem received the standard "by design" answer i.e. "it works well enough for our purposes". As I discover that it does not work well enough for me to completely identify a resource on a 20 inch wide display area and as I know that most users are using narrower monitors, I refuse to accept this answer. Therefore I am turning this into a suggestion that either:
- text wrap is used or
- the mouse over display include publication data.
Original post:
My preference on bibliographies is text wrap with indentation which is not to say that's what I expect. But I do expect to be able to see an entire entry. As you can see below, I cannot make the pane wide enough to see the entire title of an entry in the Works section of Factbook. Yes, I can do a mouse over which provides most but not all of the information for example I can't see the publication date. Unfortunately, in my particular case the publisher and date were the only unique identification I had. What may have seemed fine on paper didn't pass the field tests.
