1. Open the REB to Mt 27:56 and you will find Mary of Magdala shown incorrectly as Mary, Mother of James.

This is not a tagging error that will be corrected. Bradley Grainger of Faithlife explained it this way.
There is no tagging.
Biblical Referents are only tagged in the Greek and Hebrew texts. Those tags are carried over to English Bibles that have reverse interlinears.
When a Bible doesn't have a reverse interlinear, the context menu tries to guess, based on the word you clicked on, and the people (or places or things) the system knows exist in that verse. Usually, when there are multiple possibilities, all of them are shown (e.g., right-click "Gate" in Neh 12:39 in REB; cf. ESV). I'm not sure why the context menu doesn't show both Marys in this verse.
To reduce false positives, this "guess" is only shown for proper names, not common words such as "mother".
2. To obtain accurate information, you need to "correct" the systems guess with a Community Tag:

3. Now you can select the correct Bible Referent in the Context Menu to place correct information at your fingertips.
