New Feature: Names of God (Interactive)
What is it?
Names of God is an interactive tool that allows you to explore all the different ways the biblical texts refer to God.
How does it work?
With the Names of God interactive, you can find all the God's names and where they occur in the Old and New Testaments. Narrow your search to specific genres of biblical literature such as prose, instruction, and Law; Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic; and more. Then explore each usage in its surrounding context by clicking on the biblical reference.

I love this interactive and hate to pick things apart, but... (contrary to the screenshot (I'm on OS X)), Hebrew names that are more than one word are in reverse order (left to right).

Thanks, Reuben. We just updated this interactive, so something might've happened with that process. We'll look into it.

While we have updated it, I don't believe the update has shipped yet. And if it has, it has the same problem. [:(]
I've filed a report and we'll get to the bottom of it.

Resources are published separately from the Desktop software, but you should see a new version soon. Look for a resource version after this one for the fix: 2015-10-01T19:10:53Z

Is there any way to filter the results by book or range of books?

I don't think there is a specific filter for this but of course you can view the results by passage by expanding the section.

Thanks. But that method doesn't help much. If I wanted to find which names are used in Isaiah, for example, I'd have to expand each and every item and scroll down the list to Isaiah. Well, maybe a biblical book filter can be added. Thanks again.

Hi All,
I was experimenting with this interactive today and I was a bit confused by something. Perhaps I'm not understanding the purpose of this interactive, but I was surprised to find that I couldn't find "The Lion of the Tribe of Judah" (Rev 5:5) as one of the names listed for Jesus.
Am I doing something wrong or am I not understanding the purpose of this interactive?
Thanks

No, Designations, Descriptive Titles, and Figures of Speech for God aren't typically included here but it has been suggested here...

Thanks James, I had missed that thread. It seems to me that without the "Designations, Descriptive Titles, and Figures of Speech for God" I probably don't have much use for this interactive [:(]
