For the life of me I cannot understand why the PC went from $129 for years to $450

on Logos but the Kindle edition is only $49 For all 35 volumes every day price.

No mistake.... Zondervan has been making many price corrections. Just like on October the new WBC price goes up to $1499. I paid $80 for the CDROM and considered it a good deal because it contains several great volumes. I would never purchase it at the new price. A word of note, the publishers Bible software recently sold the set for $39.95 to celebrate 7 years in the Apple App store. They still sell it for $89 but sell the individual volumes for $19.99, since it is known in other software like Accordance and Logos that the WBC is being raised to $1499 on October 1st it is possible that then over at OT it will get raised to the new price too...

My advice is to search the internet for the old CDROM it;s still available at some places.

I agree.  You should be able to find it much less than what it is being offered for now.

The publishers will do more to hurt Faithlife's existenance than anything- future customers will suffer the most financially- if Faithlife survives it will be due to the fact that they are able to convince Christian authors Lexham Publishing will be their greatest ally, against pagan publishing houses.

That is an interesting thought. I don't recall ever seeing Faithlife actively marketing its in-house publishing company to authors, but maybe I haven't been paying attention.

It's absolute greed as far as I can see. I also think it is about promoting Zondervan's works... PCS is a series that offered a decent commentary with practical helps.. yes some of it was a bit dated, but one might have argued it is somewhat an alternative for the NIV Application Commentary (I admit not a perfect equivalence but enough of a one to have people consider the PCS being so much cheaper). But raise the price to this ludicrous amount and your products look more favourable. This just a guess but makes sense.

Thats my point they need to be actively pursuing Christian authors of all sectors, dependence on secular owned-so-called christian publishers is a death sentence.

It really is hard to understand these drastic price increase. In many cases, the cost is doubling for the exact same product. Most of these big increases seem to be centering around one publisher. Are they trying to self destruct? I just don't get it. It would seem to make more sense to increase in very small chunks rather than to shoot that big increase on people right away. I guess for someone that is pretty new to the pricing, it wouldn't affect so much, as they would just say "this is the cost", but for those that have been around for a while, these things will knock you off your seat.

Or  they think this practice can raise them enough money so they can buy out everyone else and become the only shark in the ocean!
