Bill Shewmaker: Stein Dahl:The Program Which Must Not Be Named only started offering the "The Complete Biblical Library" a couple of months ago - so there is no way that they have had an exclusive deal with the publishers for 7 years.Stein, I was at a Convention back in November and they were selling it there with the statement that they had exclusive rights to "epublish"...and if I recall correctly, it would be for at least 7 years, maybe more, from that point.

Revisiting this thread from 9 years later, hoping that the esclusivity has ended. But I still wonder how to find the publisher to contact Logos about this. At the very least I hope they can try putting it in pre-pub and see if people has any "gathering interest".

This is way to long to type all the time. Could we just call all such programs "Voldemort"?

Faithlife does not care if these companies are mentioned just do not mention them to say COMPANY X has such a better deal on product Y or Logos sucks compared to X program (now that said they are open to hearing why COMPANY X program is better for A B and C as means of constructive criticism. What is definitely verboten is sharing a link to a competitor's product. As a fan of Accordance I have had discussions with the various merits of both software and been told by Phil Gons that it was not crossing the line indeed the only time I officially was rebuked and in a private email by Bob was complaining about the limitations of the the then mobile app verses the the as yet unreleased Accordance app because as he pointed out if memory serves in effect I am comparing a released product with some ethereal unknown (my wording of the gist of the email). Which I agreed and apologized for. That is not to say I like others have not skirted really close to the edge on these issues when mentioned ANOTHER software company has a great sale on Bible Speaks Today go search for it. Even in these cases I do not remember being sanctioned by FL even though that really is pushing it. All in all FL does seem to want a free flow of discussion just no direct promotion of competitors nor negative comments on their software (constructive criticism always seems welcome, even when on some issues it feels like we are merely tilting at windmills)...

I've found that there's actually a uservoice for this: https://suggestbooks.uservoice.com/forums/308269-book-suggestions/suggestions/36931606-complete-biblical-library
Does anyone know if this is official Logos business or not?
I have a great need for the 17th book in this set (the NT grammar and index volume). If anyone has one for sale, please reach me via 1@abiblecommentary.com. Thank you!
The Complete Biblical Library of the Old Testament Commentary and The Complete Biblical Library of the New Testament Commentary.

No, UserVoice is not a Logos (Faithlife) business. It is a separate company (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UserVoice) that any company can use to set up user feedback voting systems on. Faithlife has officially set up these UserVoice boards for users to give feedback, and representatives of the company do look at them and provide feedback from time to time. And occasionally the requests do make it into pre-pub. I find that the responses to UserVoice suggestions are pretty slow in coming, though. But it seems to be the best way we have of petitioning Faithlife to get products we want.

Thanks. It was poor language. Your 2nd statement was the one I was asking for.
It is interesting to hear something from the past. It is almost a year ago when I asked this. Time flies. Actually this thread will reached a decade old very soon. And we still don't have Complete Biblical Library in Logos. On the other hand, a lot has changed in this decade making me not really need this anymore.
The exclusivity has ended. I just saw the Complete Biblical Library announced in an email from Affordance.
I created my own layout to sort of mirror the CBL and it’s much better like that. WORDsearch offers it and looks great and Accordance just released it with a note stating that some resources were left out since the program can perform the same function. Logos can do so much more, just create your own costume layout with your own favorite resources. 👍😁👌

Yes, I noticed later that Accordance left out some resources. It is ironic that their Complete Biblical Library is incomplete ...

Now this thread can finally be considered closed after a little bit more than a decade.

Logos has acquired Wordsearch!
We want to get you your Wordsearch content as quickly as possible, so we are first converting all titles to Faithlife Ebooks.
We realise that titles like The Complete Biblical Library require a higher level of tagging, so we will be upgrading select Wordsearch titles to Logos Reader Editions or Logos Research Editions. (See https://community.logos.com/forums/p/190556/1098949.aspx#1098949 for details on Logos Editions.)
This additional tagging may take a few weeks or months to produce, but when it's complete, your copy of The Complete Biblical Library will automatically update to include all the rich tagging and advanced Logos features.
On the list of resources coming to Logos, I only see the study Bible commentaries listed. Will the Greek and Hebrew dictionaries be coming too? The Greek Grammar? The Gospel Parallels? The Interlinear?
I’d like to purchase this ASAP! When will this be available for purchase 👍😁👌
Thank you!
